The red SL with 5-spoke wheels is Spidermans SL55 AMG.

The red SL with the standard 7-spoke wheels is Spiderman's ex SL500.

The silver SL500 driven by Sunny Deol is the one with the 5-hole design. It has an AMG Sports package.

this is the pic of an impounded SL65 in Dhaka, the recent conditions here have had many exotics like this impounded and trashed in police stations..background has a cayenne turbo S and a infiniti QX56

My friend in Dhaka had to go park his cars on the street with the key inside. I heard ppl were doing that with even phantoms.

Thats a real eye sore. Sad to see such exotics lying uncared for in a pile of dust. Cant these cars be auctioned off at least?

Hi chargerman, is there any specific reason why these cars were impounded? As in, is it illegal to import such cars or just that they were being brought down illegally. Why doesnt the Govt sell it and make some money off it. Better still, invite some Indians for the sale. I am sure many of us will clamor to get our hands on it. Also can any 1 decipher whats written on that car?

these cars were impounded for the huge anti corruption drive going on. Anyone who couldn't prove they had bought the car with legit money had to do this. About 80% of the cars were impounded. That is why so many of them ran from Dhaka and are now hiding all over the world.

the registration number on the cayenne turbo S is not masked and it is very much legible.

I made a thread on it on MBWorld when I saw the pics earlier this year. The first 3 pics of the SL65 were taken by chargerman himself. as liv2driv said, people avoided tax on most of these exotics and they also could not show that they have paid for the car with legit money.
