Hi SD's were only available in the US and yours is a RHD did you convert it or use a donor and did some swapping...the only thing that kept me away from the great beast is that RDH diesels turdo's were never made...all were left hookers for the US market and some retrofits for Europe..again in LHD. Something about the Turbo Diesel engine not fitting with the RHD steering box..etc (turbo on the rights side of engine cannot accomodate RHD steering assembly...etc what up?

Those alloys look like from E200/220 (1999-2000). Can't you get those original came with this model?

I absolutely love the w126 and the 300sd is a practical beast.
Like pointed out the SD were in LHD so was your an export model or have you had it converted to a RHD. please do change the wheels to the original ones. These later model wheels just kill the show.
All in all a great car and great job done on it .

Phenomenal car! I LOVE the W126 chassis, you have great taste in cars. How about some interior pictures? And a little bit of an ownership review (how long you have owned it etc. etc.).

i didn't get the original rims with the car except for the spare wheel rim and seeing its condition it is a complete write off.
had some after market league alloys with half inch spacers that really gave a wobbly ride. so as a stop gap arrangement had these 2000 model e class rims put on. plus the original rims 14" bundt's look too small for a car this size
am trying to find/source some 16x7.5j et 25 period correct pentas /amg that came in the sec.

well my car was imported from the us by a UN diplomat. he purchased all the lhd 2 rhd conversion parts including new dash from england and got the job done at phagwara in punjab. it is so neatly done that only an expert with knowledge about this car can detect the difference.
i still have the turbo and shall post snaps of the engine bay and under body to show the mutation.

to begin with i had send the car to fix an ac gas leak problem
trying to locate the leak involved opening the dashbord
so decided to get it painted at the same time
procured three doorcard, roof lining , b-pillar covers, other interior stuff from a 91 model car from england, plus euro head lamps and clear indicators
with the rains the paint job was finished in 45 days including reassemble
but then the electricals specially the climate control , power seat unit stopped working, that took another 15 days
finally on the day i went to take delivery, started up the car, got out to check the engine sound, the car locked me out with the engine running and my cell phone also was locked inside
so had to break a quarter glass to do the needful , another week goes into getting one from delhi
then the quarter glass from jagat autos delhi turned out to be for the wrong side another week goes by

finally got the car after roughly 100 days
