Spotted Nissan Murano-Interior pics

Mods plss merge the thread if there is one already running

As i was driving back i spotted an SUV on the JLN marg, Jaipur. I could make out its a Nissan from the back but couldnt make out the model, so after a bit of speeding on my Aveo, i came a bit close to the SUV and it was a Murano (heared the name for the first time). So i thought it would be fun clicking some pics on my phone and posting it on TBHP. But before I could even take the phone out, the Murano was again some distance away from me, But luckily again with some slow mooving traffic ahead and a red light i could take some pics from my Aveo

Then at a famous mall a few kms ahead i saw the car parked and after a few minutes of speaking to the driver and telling him all nice things about the car he allowed me to take some interior pics too.

The driver revealed the following things to me.

Owner: A malasiyan guy settled in Rajasthan (cant mention the Name of the owner here and They type of his business)
Top speed he (driver)has driven: 160kmph
Drive quality : excellent, he mentioned as his job involved a lot of off roading
Fuel Type : Petrol
F.E. : he said never bothered to check that
Transmission : Automatic with 4wd

Though i am a total duffer (picking up a bit thanks to TBHP) for 4wd's and SUV's, I thought the exteriors were pretty ok. Back was better than the front, though the grill looked somewhat impressive. Still cant decide about the interiors if they were good or bad, maybe its beacuse of the yellow towels he had used over the leather seat covers and red foot mats...yellow towels!!!!
now for some pics

Thats a nice catch.Nissan has been planning to bring this SUV to india for quite sometime,so we might be able to see it on our roads in a years time. However personally those headlamps and curves on the body do look a bit odd.The interior center console borrows design cue from the Teana but those tiny yellow gauges look out of place, goes with those towels though.

as far as i know.. this is the previous generation murano the current one is more bold in styling and looks out of this world. this one was on the border line. but one thing is there, i low the rear styling and the LED tail lamps with red side marker indicators.

Sam used a silver murano with Nismo stickering in his JBL stanf last year at the Autocar Performance Show. It was silver. The car is seen regularly in Bandra.

Nice pictures Deky. Thank you for shareing. This looks like the Gaurav Towers road. i think thats what its called next to Clarks Amer.
The car is not to my likeing and taste atall. The colour also does not suit the car. The yellow towels look silly, the owner should have just got the towel material seat covers.

It has been confirmed that Nissan is bringing the New Murano in November this year. Pricing details, specs and equipment details has been kept hushed but will be available once we near the official launch in the indian market, my guess would probably be within the 35 - 40 lac price bracket. As for the pics of the older gen Murano posted in this thread, some cars did find their way into India, either by Direct Import through the existing Nissan dealerships and I believe a couple directly imported from the factory in Japan.

Somehow the interiors did not appeal to me. The exterior looks good though.

The exteriors look confused, and the interior looks Yuck. I hope this mutilated frog never makes it here. Why cant nissan launch a good 'normal' looking small car here??

if nissan really wants to get down a cross over, they might as well consider the infiniti Fx35. Thats far more attractive than the murano.
