Mercedes Vito & Nissan Navara in Noida

Hi Bhpians,
Day before yesterday while coming back from college( 10Nov08) i spotted a Mercedes Vito van on the MayurVihar- Noida Link road near noida gate . For the sake of Team-Bhp and my pic album i started to chase it .
Now whats so special about a mercedes vito? - well it attracted my attention because it had a non- indian registration plate.
Further the yellow van had " Himalaya Trial 2008" written in the front and behind. It also had a map sort of diagram on its side depicting the chain of himalayas in various countries.
Overtaking it further i could see a bulbous white SUV about 7 cars ahead of it. It was the officia car of Himalaya Trial 2008- a Nissan Navara 4x4.
Both these vehicle were:
left hand drives, being driven by non indians, fully equipped with GPS systems , foreign registrations and had "GANT" written in on the rear side panels. The airconconditioning was off as the windows were open.
There were no indian occupants and the drivers were constantly monitoring the GPS systems ( for the route i guess).
These vehicles were being driven at about 60-70 kmph; the drivers seemed to be quite comfortable in heavy indian traffic .
Sorry for the poor pic quality as they were clicked from an N73 while driving.

From the plates I see, these cars are from Holland. Whether they drove it to India or airlifted it is another question.

Re: Mercedes Vito & Nissan Navara in Noida

any news about the launch of the Navara truck in India.??!, Since it is attractively priced, I think this can be a killer product in India.
