Hey great going guys. You lucky lot i must say. I hope Mercedes changes their minds and brings the cars to Bombay, so that we may also enjoy them.

The only thing comes to mind is if you have the money no matter how old you are, people wont say no. I guess this is the case with the 17yr old who crashed the car. The shocker should have been if Mercedes Would send his father a bill for the car. The classic line at the bottom of the bill " you break it you buy it" or even " Cars banged by you are considered a sale by us". It would have been such a great sight to see his fathers face.

Just love the side profile of that CL 65 AMG, but what's with it's tail? looks rather funny with those protruding mudguards?? and weirdly positioned exhaust pipes.

@randeep04: You're very lucky buddy. First you got to drive almost the entire Audi lineup and you were at this show as well! Did you get to drive any of these cars? and were you sent through Emmar MGF here too?

Some doubts?

1. Is this photo taken from India. The regn plate is not Indian, but UAE or exactly Dubai.

2. The CL is a left hand drive.

3. The date on the phots says that it was not taken during the event.

HI Guys,

Well first of all the CL65 AMG was clicked in Dubai in Oct'08. This car apparently was the 1st of all CL65 AMG's to hit Dubai, so i thought you guys would like to have a look. Sorry to have posted something that i saw in Dubai.

Fab Design had modified the vehicle so the bulky mudguards.

Jayabusa, I did drive the Audi line up in Gurgaon apart from one which i really wanted to the Audi TT 3.2 quattro but some weird guy crashed it at 150KMPH side ways leaving the cars left side and left front and rear tyres totally damaged. I am working with Emaar MGF that is why i had the chance to experience the Audi's.

Me too wish the same. I still feel very bad to miss such an event!

I have already done so Hanmust. I have asked them to delay it if they have too, but bring the cars here for the enthusiasts. The cars can be here for 6 months so anytime in between would suit us. I was invited to Delhi but had prior commitments in Bombay.

@ Randeep the cl looks hot. The kit looks more like a Lorriensor styleing than a Fab Design. The S class that was at the Autocar Performance show had similar lines and Spoilers. I guess the designers have to work with current trends and styles. So each overlapping the other.

If you saw the crashed car as well, then u and i were at the event at the same time, unfortunately i was leaving that night for the US and I didnt have my license with me so couldnt drive the SL63, but got a ride in it which was nice, but not the neck snapping feel i was looking for. overall grossly over priced car in my opinion.

i dont like the colour of the rims+the rear of the car has been absolutely ruined with the horrible exhaust tips and the rear fender .
