I see a Hillman wagon and a nice Standard Vanguard peeking out in the back. Regulars in the Madras vintage car rally scene.

Both this classic beauties are his cars, you can see both in the garage. There was an article about his collection in 'The Hindu Magazine' Chennai edition almost a year back.

Nicely done, just the wheels i hope are changed by now. The kit should have costed your friend around 1.5 to 2 lakhs considering the kit for the E is for 3 lakhs in Bombay. Do get pictures of the upgraded wheels and his other Mercedes. There is a 300ce (W124) for sale in bombay. trying to convince my father to agree.

He is already a member, but don't used to post I think. Anyway he must be watching the updates I believe. He is a very busy man, one of the directors of a large business group having activities at middle east, far-east & south India. Hence he used to be travelling a lot. But when ever he is in Cehnnai he regularly visit the gararge after his office hours & our meeting point at Chennai is normally his garage!

Nice collection your friend has. But the Lorinser kit V10 has posted looks wicked as compared to the one on the thread's C220.

1.5-2 Lakhs on this kit? I find nothing special in the one posted here except the exhaust. The chrome looks really cheap and even the side vents look rather strange. I would prefer the AMG kit anyday. But then its his car and his opinion. Hopefully pics with the new wheels come soon.

Buddy, DC, Lorinser and Mansory are the ones who charge you a premium to ruin your car. You need a lot of guts to ruin high-end cars and that's why you pay a heavy amount to these gutsy guys. LOL
