Maybe he meant the ex parent company, if I remember correctly was "Ford".

no buddy i caught hold of the pick up truck driver on the red light and asked him what happened to the car. he said that apparently the owner of the car hit his car on his front gate and the bumber and the grill cracked.

Although not very clear from the pic, but seems nothing happened to the bonnet or the lights. The crash must've been hard enough to break the bumper and the grill but not enough to damage anything else... sounds a bit strange to me. The car could've been driven to the garage if its only that much of damage.
NP: :P I think the truck driver towed the wrong thing :P...

Its actually surprising to know that sometimes the impact of a minor crash such as this one, could be fairly bad! A friend of mine happened to bump his S500 into a pillar in front of the car, and the damage to the bumper was minimal, but the engine bay did have some damage( I don't remember the details, but I do recollect his dismay when he got an estimate of the repairs). So, its quite possible to have quite some damage even if the distance of impact isn't that much.

my car is only 3 months old so its covered under BMW Secure so there would be no charges except for the new driver rightside tire.

@ecksreturns
I hope you have an idea of the hundreds of crores of losses jaguar land rover does each passing day. Mr. Tata himself admitted not very long back that he made a wrong decission acquiring them. What are you talking about?
They are nothing but 2 of the most loss making automotive brands accross the globe.

Buy low, sell high. Mr Tata did not say "bad decision" , but said , and I quote "inopportune time " . Any questions ?

I too went to have a look as i pass that road everyday to go to my house.

Here is a pic from my side. I am sure these Goans must have harassed you since you have a non GA plate

Also noticed that all the airbags had inflated.
