re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

This was done by m friend long time back!! The repair bill was around Rs 5 lakh and the insurance did not pay because the stupid surveyor said that the claim cannot be given because no case was lodged!!The car was insured by ICICI Lombard.

The insurance company is right. There is nothing stupid about the surveyor.

@Cyrus ,But I got a claim for my City without lodging any case and it was insured by Ifko Tokyo! Are the polices of both the insurance company different?

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

It depends on your statement. You don't need to file a complaint if you go and crash into a wall or tree, but you will have to in case of another vehicle. It depends on how you make a statement in front of the surveyor.

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

@livyodream in the above case the Merc hit the divider and no other vehicle was involved. The reason the surveyor gave was that the case needs to be lodged within 24 hrs of the crash because they need to know wether the driver was drunk at the time of the crash or not..!

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Guys I have one HELL OF A SHOCKER for you, yet another Supercar from Hyderabad bites the dust, this time its the White Lamborghini LP560-4 with the signature black LP560-4 Wheels. I read somewhere this LP560-4 belongs to the same people whose Bentley FS got totaled last year, damn I am in tears, got no more words left to say

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Holy Moly!!! What happened here?
How can the rear wheel come of like that without any major collision and only a scratched bumper? Its like the right side hit a pavement or something.

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Looks repairable but one would need to examine the undercarriage for damage and distortions.

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

It Looks like the Driver Side Airbag hasn't deployed, the Steering Wheel seems to be intact. This happened in the 3rd Week of January, thats the reason the car wasn't spotted for the past few months. Have no info on how and where it happened

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Oh my god how did it happen? Hyd BHPians please try to get some info about this crash. This LP560 is probably one of the hottest looking Gallardos in the country this side of the verde ithaca LP. Looks very much repairable though.

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

The Gallardo in that state is gut-wrenching.

I loved this particular LP560-4 when it featured in the Hyderabad exotics thread. The car will require some serious repair IMO. The damage might be more internal than one would think. My guess is that the under-carriage has taken a battering. The suspension will have to be looked into as well. I wonder how this happened.

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

EDIT: The accident occurred on the Outer Rind Road, Hyderabad, the same road where the Bentley FS was totaled, now that rules out the possibility of Speed Breakers.
