As I have tracked many times before I made sure I was using my mirrors. Thanks to my side view mirror I saw him coming at a very high speed and I knew something would happen, so I slowed down and then BAMM he went straight into the SAFER barrier !! If I had taken the turn it would had been disastrous !!

Anyways the good thing is he is safe and I am safe too

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Due to request from the track day organizers I have made the video private !! Sorry guys but I respect the sentiments of the Bentley chap, even though it was his own mistake I am sure it hurts everyone to see a good car wreck !!

It's good you made the video private, we all make mistakes. Wouldn't want anyone watching them on youtube

On another note, I don't get the point of a 'Bentley' on the track.

Heard an Aston DB9 was also crashed by the same driver just before this GTC hit the barriers! Is that true?

6 litre twin-turbo W12, 650Nm of Torque, 0-100 in 5.1seconds and oh almost 600horses, the performance parameters are all there. But in a country like ours, it takes guts to get such an expensive car onto a track, need to appreciate the chap, maybe it was not his day at the track after all, but the car seems repairable !

Dayyum! He couldn't make out that it just wasn't his day with the Aston itself? Duh!

More details on the Aston crash?

Yes lot of power, but its like turning a sofa. I'm pretty sure he'd have a more track friendly car.

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

"Done Did" an Aston and a Bentley on the same day?!?@?! sounds like, this guy needs some lesson on driving fast cars and the fact that something was wrong with the wheel of the aston sounds like an excuse another example of typical "money can't buy skills" scenario.

Saw this heavily crashed black BMW x6 is parked outside Pondy Bazaar Police Station (Chennai) today morning.

Looks like a write-off :(

OMG! What could have done that to that monster X6?

The car looks heavily damaged. Looks like a write off indeed.

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Looks like it hit something and skidded into a median

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

^^ Looks exactly like what it would, if the driver hit something gently and then tried to over-correct by swerving and subsequently driving into a relatively high median. This could have happened even at considerably slower speeds, I suppose; even though the damage looks pretty bad.

I'm guessing that's what you meant

It probably isn't a write-off as I don't see considerable pillar damage, but that poor under-body is ripped off, along with some vital transmission components and probably even some other parts of the drivetrain.
