I'm guessing that's what you meant

It probably isn't a write-off as I don't see considerable pillar damage, but that poor under-body is ripped off, along with some vital transmission components and probably even some other parts of the drivetrain.
Could still be considered a write-off given the time & amount of money that would be involved in a restore. Such guys with money & need for a vehicle rarely go the restore route.

I always hate to see this thread updated

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

^^ I saw that X6 last night , some 10 minutes after he crashed .
It happened on nungambakam Highroad where there is a U-turn opposite a petrol bunk just before it becomes a 1way.
The median was completely demolished ! Very s*upid crash actually.
Either he was very drunk or very very blind ! You can't loose control of something as electronically aided as an X6 is such a spot.

No one was hurt in the crash i think.

As I have tracked many times before I made sure I was using my mirrors. Thanks to my side view mirror I saw him coming at a very high speed and I knew something would happen, so I slowed down and then BAMM he went straight into the SAFER barrier !! If I had taken the turn it would had been disastrous !!

Anyways the good thing is he is safe and I am safe too

Hi Omar,

At which turn did this happen? In the video it is not clear - it looks like some where betwee T1 & T3

I have an interest in knowing the crash spots at Budh for future ref.

Best Regards & Drive/Ride Safe

That's true. But I'm certain this car won't be junked. I'd prefer to see it junked, rather than repaired and sold to an unsuspecting customer who'd probably buy it for a price that would be a lot more than it's actually worth.

Gee, I saw this very car last Saturday night near Taj Coromandel Nungambakkam. It was being driven pretty rashly by a kid. They way he was driving it, he was bound to crash someday.

Such a pity to see. Too many rich kids with no talent or appreciation for a good set of wheels. When will they learn that there's a time and place to drive the wheels off. Guys who have the cash for a car like this can surely afford to pay for a track day.

One more photo from the Deccan Chronicle. Apparently it was being driven by a 19-year old at night, and he crashed into a divider.

Link to the article in case some of you want to read it:

How did the RR Sport crash?? It is a total write off for sure. Seems like a high speed head on collision. Seeing the impact hope there are no casualties.

I think that crash is quite old. IIRC it crashed somewhere near Mangalore, on a bridge.

EDIT: Found the details. Check out this link:

re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Saw a crashed light brown color CLS on marine drive, Bombay in the wee hours of the morning today. Looked like a Dezire could not stop on time and crashed on the side of the CLS at an intersection near marine plaza.
