The papers say the car was abandoned(?), and the number plates removed. Hilarious, and dumb!
That the police had to rummage through the papers in the car to find out where to go. Strange.
Why run away, even if you were speeding, and have hit no living thing????

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Covered in today's TOI. Most of the information has been made public. An interesting bit about a police officer claiming to scan through the details of all 26 Lamborghini owners. 26? Why?

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

I guess they removed the number plate as they might have out the number up as BOSS (8055).

Jokes apart not able to understand why they abandoned the car, maybe they were driving under influence or it was an underage/noob driver who just didn't know what to do.

Let's not forget the red Murcielago Barchetta / Spyder (One of only two in the Country) that crashed somewhere in Frazer Town(?) in Bangalore a few years ago.

Another Gallardo crash in Kerala: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/super-...ml#post3077623

There have been a few more Ferrari crashes, the white FF in Delhi was rear-ended and a red Italia too.

One More Ferrari Crash for Rehaan:

In 2006, there was a Ferrari 360 Spider crash on the ECR in Chennai. The owner survived but with burn injuries.

The white Muricelago (ex-AB) was also crashed, right? Is it back on roads?

Self proclaimed experts(in the media and the police labour force) who are in reality illiterate make random estimates of speed. In truth if this car had crashed at 200 kmph, it would be impossible to recognise the car or the body of the person. There would be a garnishing of yellow left in the wreckage. The speed at the time of impact might just be 60-70 kmph ....definitely under 100.

For reference go take a look at what 64 kmph does to a volvo in a crash test.

Well i think most of people of this country don't know that the person who was owning this car was not an idiot. I have personally seen this car and also sat in it with the owner and last when I sat in it, it was driven 7500 kms. So a person who has already driven a super veloce for 7500 kms definitely knows how to drive it. It's a accident and accidents happen. The car was not at all at a speed of 200 for sure else the damage would have been much more serious. Supercar & Import Crashes in India-imageuploadedbyteambhp1428062711.684282.jpg

No, they don't just "happen." They get caused by someone or something.
