Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Was it the M3 owner himself who put his car on fire? Then won't that itself be an evidence against him that he was at fault here!

Usually, when people drive on the wrong side, they stick to their right.

So in this case, if the M3 was being driven correctly, the scooter would be on the left side of the M3. And the collision would also happen with the front left portion of the M3. And as is evident from the pictures, the left side of the M3 seems to have taken most of the brunt.

Highly unlikely that someone would drive a car, no less an M3 on the wrong side of the road and then stick to their left where chances of colliding with oncoming traffic is highest. This is the only way the car could be driving in the wrong direction and get impacted on the left portion. But if this is the case,

I hope the newer pictures posted clear that out. The M3 was on the wrong lane.

M3 owner - wrong side of road.
M3 owner - burning car after killing someone to cover up evidence.
M3 owner - will walk scott free because he is rich.

My attitude towards this incident just completely changed.

Rest In Peace, poor biker who was probably deaf before being killed.

1. He's Rajesh Khanna, who burned the car out of a sense of righteous indignation of having been the instrument of death. "burn, you sinning piece of Satan!"

2. He's aware of the "law enforcement" in this nation. Speak to the next of kin of the scooter guy, tell them the case will run long and slow, and there is no car now either, which puts forensic evidence out of the picture. Here, buy your own m3. 20 years down the line, who knows , maybe I'll be able to pull a SK. Bird in hand, brother. Take it.

Of the two, more likely is which? Considering how clout and power works.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Not acting Sherlock but as A.K has already said and as evident from the pictures, the M3 does seem to be the one on the wrong side. Or did it cross the divider and jump to the opposite lane after the accident?

If the latter would have been the case I don't think he would have taken such an extreme step. Burning down the damn car definitely points to the former being true.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

The only situation I can think of an M3 on the wrong side of the road and driving fast is a Drag Race and obviously an illegal one

I still don't get how burning a car can destroy any evidence! Its just destroying your own money. Its sad to see that we lost such a nice car thanks to the foolishness of the owner. No respect for the car!

Anyways, RIP the victim and the M3

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Not to sound like the devils advocate or Sherlock but it seems like this accident has happened on a highway, it could well be a mod of angry villagers or by standers who burnt the car down in a rage since the biker was killed.

Any confirmation of where exactly this accident took place?

RIP to the deceased.
I'm not anyone to judge or I'm not making any comment on it but what will be the owner's profit if he burn down his car this way? I get what mayankk said but the pics are flooded over the internet now, isn't this a proof?

This M3 was one of hottest and tastefully done M3 in India. I remember drooling over this particular M3 when I used to see it's pic over facebook, it had an awesome exaust note too. I got to know now that this car belonged to a BHPian once. Even when I didn't know it, I used to watch the videos of the M3 posted by the owner on YouTube. Very sad to see this M3 in this condition. RIP poor M3. :(

Might as well be true because I received a pic of the M3 on fire with a caption reading "car burned down by an angry mob" on my Instagram DM. Not too sure if it's okay posting it here but it is a sight that would make you cringe in your pants.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

I for one don't think anyone in their right mind would even dream of driving their m3 down the wrong side of the road and Yes burning it is pointless, I'm still curious as to what happened though. Perhaps we may never know. My condolences to the friends and family of the biker.

Yes, the newer pictures suggest the most unlikely scenario I had described. Driving in the wrong lane and then sticking to the left. Guess I take the existence of an ounce of common sense in these folks for granted.

I am not able to discern the burning yet though. I am not sure it can be any villagers because the surroundings seem to be void any habitation except for some apartments. Also, pictures of the car before it was burnt shows the car surrounded by people who look like urban folk.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Just read an article about the crash in the news. Apparently angry locals torched the car. The driver, 23, is under arrest, which means he will be in the market for a new M3 in a few weeks.

Unfortunately, both rider and pillion died. Suspected drunk driving from the BMW boy.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

If the owner did indeed torch the car, it could be to destroy evidence of drugs/controlled substances.

Maybe he got some all over the interior and on being found out he'd face an even stronger punishment.
