The driver was F1600 champion, I wish he kept his racing on race track.

Driver died on his way home from his bachelor party. Tragic.
I don't want to shoot in the dark, but I'm guessing if it was his bachelor's party and he was behind the wheel, there was alcohol involved.

It's a brand new car. These cars are damn powerful. They're also very big & very heavy. One should take time to understand the beast instead of ripping it on day 1 when you have no idea of how she'll behave.

What an absolute moron. I hope the law puts him behind bars for a couple of years. That should teach him a lesson.

Just a couple? 11 rickshaw drivers injured 1 dead another one in ICI. I would say this is culpable homicide. He needs to be in longer and harder. But as 'bhai' has shown us anything is possible. This drivers father is a retired judge, he won't even get the couple you are stating.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

I won't be surprised if the driver gets away after a few months by proving he was not at the wheel at the time of the accident. Some poor soul will take the responsibility for it eventually.

As per Vahan.in, the car seems to be registered under some Onkar International Pvt Ltd which is a travel company. Probably the car was brought from them and hasn't been transferred into racerboy's name.

It takes time to get used to handling that kind of power or rather torque in this case and if one does decide to push it to the limit you need to be 100% sober. One must learn to respect the machine, drunken driving is the biggest disrespect, it will bite you back.

RIP to the victim.

His father is a Supreme Court Advocate & the driver is apparently a law student!

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Whoops... From the damage to the windscreen, I'm guessing that someone thinks that a 50-lakh-plus [?] car with tough looks is enough to protect them, so who needs seat belts?

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Came across this in today's newspaper. Seems to have messed up the rear suspension as well, judging by the angle of the rear-left wheel. I wonder why the driver abandoned the car and fled after the accident.

I see no other reason for a driver to abandon their car and run away from a crash where no one was injured or killed, other than DUI.

IF that's the case here, then I sincerely hope that the driver has learnt his lesson from this accident! This is a powerful car, and the results would have been bad if it had crashed into another vehicle/person.

The accident happened at Bandra Reclamation before 9 a.m., there was a slight jam. Wasn't able to click any pics. It was a black Ducati Diavel.
