Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

The bolts have sheared off. Seems to me a case of overtightening of the bolts using a pnewmatic drill(?) instead of a torque wrench. That may have caused the rims to crack.

Got this pictures on whtsapp group it seems it happen in taneja aerospace.Riders is in ICU. He blacked out after crossing 300 and hit a wall at 200 it seems. He was riding another group members bike. Since the bike is totalled no insurance can be claimed because it was used in a drag race.

It happened at Taneja alright but it was no drag race and it was the riders bike
I believe the rider is out of danger and is stable now.
May god be with him.

Man! Illiterates!

Checked out the youtube page, they had the following description under the video:

"Published on 19 Feb 2017
This is why you don't take your Lambo to a political rally. Poor cars must have suffered damage by hooligans. This happened during a BSP political rally where multiple celebrities were also present, in the due course of the rally some anti-social elements got attracted to these cars and attacked them."

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Maybe this is the reason!

When a political rally takes place, there are a lot of people that turn up, especially given the fact that the state is undergoing polling. A BSP candidate there had held a rally where he had invited Upen Patel and Aftab Shivdasani to be a part of. The candidate’s son had brought in a lot of his exotic cars, to be a part of this rally.

It so happened that while the rally was in progress, they happened to reach a place where the RLD was also having a meeting. Seeing the actors, a lot of people who had come for the RLD meeting went to get a closer look at the stars. This angered the RLD workers and they decided to take matters into their own hands to disperse the crowd. They hence started pelting the on going roadshow with stones and bricks.

From the footage that came up initially, the only vehicle that looked damaged was the Aventador, but that isn’t the only one. The Aventador was pelted with a lot of stones and while the damage is not clear, you can hear the sound of the stones damaging the car and breaking a few glasses. Other cars involved in the rally were not spared either. There was a Z4 which had its rear and front windscreen broken, an Audi A7 which also had its rear windscreen broken. There were also a few SUVs ( Fortuners and Safaris) that were a part of the convoy that suffered damage.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

The video of the Lambo being damaged is disgusting. You can buy first world things to experience first world life in India, but the environment that surrounds you can never be first world.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

It must also be asked what were those cars doing in an election rally in the first place where poor people tend to be offered fake promises. Such cars at such places almost symbolise the promises not kept by our political class.

And while I say this, I do not justify the vandalism one bit.

Re: Pics: Accidents in India

Horrible accident on Road number 36, Jubilee hills Hyderabad. As mentioned by news channels, a Mercedes SUV rammed into a huge pillar which was laid as part of elevated metro train route, at insane speeds. Two young chaps lost their lives and one of them is son of a cabinet minister, Andhra Pradesh.

Quite Unfortunate

G-class, I wonder how crash worthy it is, since the design had changed little over the years.
