Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Read in one of the Instagram stories of a profile I follow that driver tried saving a jaywalker. The car was doing around 150kmph and in attempt to avoid the collision with jaywalker, toppled.

Not sure about the autheticity of it. Just adding what I got to know about it.

The driver survived, but the root cause is over speeding. A powerful car like that needs a very sane driver.

Just impossible to enjoy the performance of a 500+ hp supercar on public roads. If you can afford to buy a car like that, take it to the track and drive fast to your heart's content.

Very well said, looks like a very high speed crash. What has left me amused is the way the cabin is intact even after taking so much beating. Look at the rest of car and then the way cabin is still in its proper shape.

I wish manufacture's start doing this to every car sold, will save so many lives.

Manufactures who do that, don't end up selling anything because "kitna deti hai" rules in this country.

Re: Pics: Accidents in India

I saw this accident today morning at WIAA Chowk - Oval Maidan. Not sure exactly what had happened, however cops were there to help clear the traffic and get the car on Flat Bed. The Aston Martin in question had an extensive frontal damage.

Some pics of the aforementioned crash. Looks pretty bad. Might need a full front swap, hoping that the vital mechanicals are not hit. Has already been taken to a workshop I've been told.

Re: Pics: Accidents in India

My cousin spotted this accident on the Chennai-Bangalore highway over the weekend. It was between Hosur and Shoolagiri. She said it had rained earlier and the road was wet. Looks like the driver just lost control. Judging by the stickers on the side, the car must have been a part of Porsche's 70th anniversary celebrations.

I have seen lot of water stagnation around the Shoolagiri stretch. There are very high chances of aquaplanning if one does not reduce his/her speed. Added to this, heavy vehicles coming in the opposite direction splash water fountain on the car windshield thereby affecting one's visibility as well.

Re: Supercar & Import Crashes in India

Yesterday a white GTR with red rims crashed on the Bandra Worli sealink in Mumbai at around 4:30 pm. Could not click any pictures as it was pouring. The front of the car was badly smashed. Think it was the AMS Alpha tuned Nissan GTR. Pics of the same are on the Mumbai GTR page over here. Can’t say for sure though if it was the same car.
