Two of my friend booked the GL, first one will be delivered in April & other by May. Kerala expect a good sale for this full size SUV.

Are you talking of the silver one with the Brabus badge. If it is the same one then its only a badge. He also has AMG wheels. The car comes to Auto Hanger for service so have seen it. The two black GL's in Bombay belong to friends.

@Viper SRT the cars are CBU's for now. Mercedes Builds these in RHD as well for other markets, so they are not specially built in RHD for India.

There will be a new GL in cochin soon , hopefully. It will be an addition to a garage with more than 7 Merc.

Sure looks like a serious competetion to Q7 in India. I've driven both 350 diesel and the GL450 (V8 petrol). Amazing pickup and feels like driving a car. Its on my wishlist this year. Still debating whether to buy diesel or petrol!

The ML faced pretty Ill-fate in the state. It didn't even sell a fraction as its competitors. But post the FL, few have been sold. Again, it is not at all a success story.

Good news, they have some taste for mercs. So, the total count has exceeded 70 cars right ?

GL is a different breed and will attract customers of different kind. ML has a huge competition from other makers like VW, Volvo, BMW, LR. I hope its a success, Its best in its class.
