Best off roader .. Land Rover Discovery (LR 2 i think is the current name)

Best luxurious that can also whup *** off the road has to be a Range Rover

Escelade, Gelandawagon, Navigator, all the Lexus's i think is for people to flash some cash and drive to the grocery store. (here in the US at least)

I'm using Range Rover..In my opinion both Range Rover & Discovery are one of the best SUVs..Even the new M-class, Caynne, Tourage, X5, coul be listed in it..but they r not the best off roaders..The G-wagen, Unimog, Land Rover Defender, Hummer H1, etc are the best off roaders U can buy..All these r expensive because they are limited & unique..And thats why there is still demand for them..even after 26 years...

Speaking of Top Gear and SUVs...haha, if you want pure-offroading for £50k, i.e., literally the supercar of soil, check this, the Bowler Wildcat. Several engines (including Rover engines), 400Nm of torque @ 2600rpm (!!), around 300 horses and a 0-60 (mph) in 4.8 seconds! 100% street-legal...and also Paris-Dakar legal! Seats two, just as any standard supercar would. What more could one ask for?

The Range Rover wins hands-down for luxury, but this Bowler...I'd have it any day for its raw, indestructible off-roading capabilities.

I saw one of these on the news a few weeks ago. Some chap from Shropshire was going to undertake some sort of race across Africe (not Paris Dakar) in one of these. They showed a few clips of it being driven and the car looked great as it literally gobbled up rough terrain at high speed.

Spotted Fortis Hospital, Vasanth Kunj. Its the 2nd time I'm seeing it from India. First I saw it with my friend in Chennai. I was rushing to ariport & sun was set, hence foto is not clear. Its one of dream car. I'm still searching for one for me. Anybody has any inform, pls convey me.

It's funny, because this isn't completely a Mercedes product. It was co-designed and co-developed with Steyr Puch Magna in Austria, and it is Steyr Puch Magna that still makes them by hand. For those of you who don't know, Steyr also makes submachine guns, and invented the Hero Puch.
