Hey guys,

If you want to turn heads in our country then it has to be wild and wacky in the sense that the whole shape & form should be as much as possible in variance to the norm. What I mean is you cannot turn heads with just a design modification to a saloon/sedan/SUV/MPV shape. How many laymen other than us automaniacs and certain others can really drool at say a Koeniggsegg or even a ferrari or a bugatti? definitely a measly number. So my bet would go to the P500 or a Aston Martin Lagonda or an Ariel Atom. They have to get a sense that some other object is on the road. I have experienced this several times over and over again people will give second or third glances but turning heads for people (i.e. majority) who are really not interested in cars comes only with this effect. Remember I am talking about majority in it's full sense.

Hmm, i see everyone has given loads of suggestions. Just one more on the lighter side

Get a maruti 800 & retrofit it with a device which throws out money every few seconds. Im sure that would be a 100% head turner at any cost

...and as for my choice, when all you losers are going to drive those machines around thinking you're turning heads, I'm going to arrive cornering in this and turning everyone's heads as well as spraining my own

There are a couple of cars that spring to my mind.

if i want to buy cars that will make heads turn its got to be very unique in the way is looks or moves.

Based on this logic the following come to my mind -

1. 1963 Peel P50 - The Peel P50 was a three-wheeled microcar manufactured in 1962 and 1965 by the Manx Peel Engineering Company. It retailed for £199 when new, and currently holds the record for the smallest-ever automobile to go into production.

2. 2008 Caterham Seven R500 Superlight 3 - The Caterham Seven (or Caterham 7) is a small sports car produced by Caterham Cars in the United Kingdom. It is based on the Lotus Seven, a lightweight sports car sold in kit and pre-built form by Lotus Cars, from the late 1950s to the early 1970s.

Note - At the beginning of December 2008, the R500 was featured on the popular BBC television show Top Gear, putting in a timed lap of the Top Gear circuit of 1 minute 17.9 seconds. This is, to date, the fifth fastest official lap timed by the show, faster than, amongst others, the Bugatti Veyron. This feat was considered even more impressive due to the coldness of the conditions which made it difficult for the test driver ("The Stig") to get heat into the tyres. Shortly afterwards, on the 14th December show, Top Gear made the R500 its '2008 Car of the Year'.

3. 1932 Ford Model B (Deuce Coupe) Hot Rod - Hot rods are typically American cars with large engines modified for linear speed. This would just look so cool its incredible to believe. Herez a few pictures. The Model BModel A and was replaced by the 1935 Ford Model 48. Strictly speaking the Model B was a four-cylinder car with a Ford Model A engine, but it was at this time that Ford began producing a very similar car with Ford's new Flathead V8 engine. The V8 car was marketed as a was a new Ford automobile produced in model year 1932. It was a much updated version of the Model 18, though it is commonly called the Ford V-8 today, and was virtually indistinguishable from the Model B.

4. Citroen DS -

This car's shape realy will make peel turn around to have another look.
The Citroën DS is an executive car produced by the French manufacturer Citroën between 1955 and 1975. Styled by ItalianFlaminio Bertoni, the DS is known for its futuristic body design and innovative technology, including hydropneumaticself-leveling suspension.

5. 1930 Bugatti Type 41 Royale - The Bugatti Type 41, better known as the Royale, was a large luxury car with a 4.3 m (169.3 in) wheelbase and 6.4 m (21 ft) overall length. It weighed approximately 3175 kg (7000 lb) and used a 12.7 L (12763 cc/778 in³) straight-8 engine.

(For comparison, the Royale is about as heavy as a large modern commercial pickup truck, such as a Ford Super Duty F-450, but it is about 10% longer. When compared to the modern Rolls-Royce Phantom., it is about 20% longer, and more than 25% heavier.)

Ettore Bugatti planned to build twenty-five of these cars, and sell them to royalty. But even royalty was not buying such things during the Great Depression, and Bugatti was able to sell only six. Today a Bugatti Royale is the ultimate status symbol - one of the biggest, rarest, most desirable cars in the world.

I would surely like to be dressed in a nice tux with a hat and a gold encrusted stick and be driven around in this.
