The S8 is above 2 crores! Are you sure about that?

The S65 is almost double the price of an S8 here in U.K but only 20 lakhs more expensive in India.

The S8 is not officially available in Audi showrooms in India. It has to be imported as a CBU so it's bound to cost more.The A8 W12 itself costs 1crore. So expect atleast 2 crores for the S8, since the S65 AMG costs 2.3 crores.

It is. Here is a picture of an imported by regent audi delhi.
The S8 retails for 103,000 euros in germany (70 lakh INR)
So OTR price should be close to 1.5 crore INR APPROX.

Wierd. It seems chandigarh has the largest number of rip off dealerships. When I asked Audi chandigarh about the S8/S5 , they clearly said that only the present range can be imported and nothing else by them as it is not launched in India and that if I imported one my self , they would deny service.

at that DLF office.. I have seen F430, hummer H2, many many S classes and 7er's and a Souped Up Cayyne and a Phanthom there many many times. and saw this S8 too but i thought its a regular A8. anyways nice pics.

Yeah man.I stay near the DLF office and have seen all his exotics.Add 2 Bentley Flying Spurs and a Porsche 911 also to that list.

I think that at 1.5, this car makes much more sense than the S65 which is available at around 2.70. and with some options I am sure it will touch 3. which I think is a rediculous amount for a Mercedes. because afterall its just a souped up, pumped up S class! and with that money you can get three S class cars!

but then again, the A8 W12 makes even more sense than a S8 as its also resonably quick and comparatively less expensive at 1cr. that makes the most sense along with the BMW 750 Li in india.

but what about the ride quality of the S8? is it teeth jarring or as cushy as A8? heard that the ride quality of the S65 AMG is very comfortable and cushy even with AMG suspension setup. looks killer in black. seen many times at the oberoi's.

I think that these cars makes much more sense in india than the supercars like lambos or ferrari's. because even though we love them, there is hardly any roads for them here. they are bad and sometimes just less for these supercars! whereas these cars, S8 or S65 or 750Li, can be used as luxury chauffer driven cars as well as self driven for sheer driving pleasure and plus they give a great ride quality on our pot holed roads.

thats the case with almost all dealers everywhere in india, dude. I remember asking a Nissan dealer once about the GTR, sometime back. a Lady out there said that Nissan won't get GTR. not possible for them at all. and I am sure no Honda dealer anywhere will get you a S2000 too.
