hi guys. i saw a NISSAN SUV near COEP - pretty old model with some kind of exhaust pipe coming out on the left side. That pipe was running along the A pillar -- ( like those pipes on Semi trucks in US ). Any idea what it could be ??

Snorkel. Not an exhaust pipe. Gives the vehicle ability to wade through deep waters, it breathes through the snorkel. Much like in diving in shallow waters.
