OT:: the audi ahmedabad dealership isn't that "arrogant"

though the salesmen there do tend to tell you how bad the other cars are compared to the audi. wish they told us how good the audi is instead of comparing and down-trodding the competition.

anyways heartiest of congratulations to your brother ecks.
though check out the hyderabad thread. there is a R8 there with the entire car in the same color.
looks a bit butch imho.

What Samyak probably meant was that the entire car is of the same colour "Red" and not the same colour as "ecks R8"

Nice ride Ecks.
Hope to see this thread or a new thread keeping us updated on the arrival of the German Beast in a similar fashion as the LP.

Hi Ecksreturns, You have a great collection of cars. Would you recommend a M-DCT transmission on an M3 or 6 speed Manual. I have read of some issues with DCT. Could you please share your experience?

Well yes , the earlier versions of the DCT had some problems , the most prominent one's being the downshifts under hard braking and acceleration from a stop . If you go for a DCT transmission now , the software(Progman) version will be the updated one that takes care of these bugs.

The DCT is a great transmission to play around with . Great for stop and go traffic and shifts faster than any human being. The 6 Speed has its own charm and I really like that transmission too. But for me , the DCT was a winner due to its versitality , as you can program the amount of power you want from each gear.

In the end, the best way is to feel the car with both tranny's . Try to find both cars , if possible , or meet me and KBK .

Here are a few pictures of the R8 that we just purchased. More pics tomorrow morning. I am also adding a picture of a burning hot brake rotor of my M3 after some spirited driving .
