^ Definitely one of my favourite designs. Anything remotely similar to BBS rims makes me do backflips under my bed.

Couldn't agree with you more! (My display picture speaks for itself) Anyway..

Even the wheels on Ecks' M3 are lip-smacking! That picture of the brake disc glowing red hot behind those wheels nearly gave me a crisis*!

That black 560 is out of the equation for now. About to place a factory order soon for the 560. Will update with specs once done.

Congrats Ecks. Amazing thread! It took me a day to read the whole thread in my office. Well thats the penalty, if I dont log into TBHP on a regular basis. All this time my goal was to go for 911 4s but now it seems like M3 has a special place in my heart. My first vote would be for Lambo always, then 458 (Dint like California) and then AM.
I'm sure you have considered 911 GT2 in the past. What do you think?

The M3 is a FANTASTIC car Viper. Don't get me wrong, the C4S is a brilliant daily car, but the practicality the M lends, and for the price, it was the best deal ever.
I love the GT2, but it really isn't practical for Indian roads. I found that out the hard way with the 640.

Yeah agreed. Great choice with the M3 ecks, its the perfect car for indian roads- size, power, discretion (ok just a little bit), and something that only car lovers would appreciate...

With regards to the 560, did you consider a Ferrari 458? Looks the part for sure- though you have mentioned that you're not a big ferrari fan...

Picking up the M3 was a great decision Ecks. It has an amazing combination of performance and practicality. The only other car that I know of that offers that same amazing combination is the 911 Carrera S IMO.

By the way, I'm still waiting for the report on the Carrera!

P.S. Whats your take on those multi spoke BBS-esq wheels? Have you considered them for your soon-to-be LP 560?

The price difference between M3 and C4S is remarkable ($70k for M3 and $100K C4S) both fully laoded (with DCT and PDK) but again I shouldn't be comparing both the cars in those aspects. But looking at Ecks M3 being modified and coming close to 490HP; I've a strong urge to go for M3 and spend that extra money wisely on mods.

I am very happy that I could guide a fellow enthusiast in buying a performance car!

Update - The LP640 will not be sold. It is too beautiful a car to be sold. I guess it will serve its purpose better when we shift to Delhi. In the mean time, a supercar must come now, and it will. Won't reveal what now, but it would be no less than what is expected from a Purist as my self.

That is good news! None of us would have liked to see it go. After all it's the one and only hypercar on TeamBHP. Now, waiting for the LP560 to enter your garage and the *mystery car*. You're booking the Balboni, right? or the 560-4?

Get a hypercar ecks, your garage has great luxe and nice supercars, If not 458 Italia then get a hypercar, maybe something like a McLaren MP / Veyron / SLR McLaren (which could be well your Daly drive). I dont think in India anyone has a SLR yet, I maybe wrong though.

Just 1 thing to say. WOWWWWW!!! You made my day with the second sentence of your post. BTW whom did you guide? What are you considering? Something Italian?

@AltoHOncho: Nobody in India has a SLR because its not allowed to be sold here as it is a LHD. Same for the veyron. Not sure about the new McLaren though

I might be missing something here, but I thought you couldnt import LHD into India. I saw the pics of Ratan Tata's car (in ACI it was, I think) and it was definitely LHD.

It was indeed LHD, but it was probably brought down on a CARNET scheme, which allows you to bring an LHD car into the country for a limited amount of time (i think about 6 months).

He owns JLR and Tata. He has enough ways of bringing one down.
