And while you are at it, how about a separate ownership thread for the LP and M3? I'm sure many of us are eagerly awaiting it.

Hey Ecks,

Why don't you join up some forums, this would give you an idea into the real troubles and problems of maintenance on a GTR, if there are any.

Here's a forum I kinda ran into, NAGTROC - The Nissan GT-R Owners Club - Home

It gives you good info on almost all aspects of the GTR. And here's a link for online parts in case you don't wanna source them from the dealer. It has OEM parts of the GTR, The Nismo Shop :: West Covina Nissan

And congrats on the new addition to your garage.

Yeah man, CobbTuning and MINE'S tuning are the two best tuners for the GTR.

Already bookmarked that page and will read through the issues of a GTR(touch wood if any). Nissan Delhi and Ludhiana are both ready to handle it and when I have experts like Fireblader on TBHP and a friend who is importing the car for me, I know my GTR is in safe hands. As such the M3 was supposed to have a lot of problems , but I have faced none. So I hope all goes well with the GTR. Should be here my this month.

Really? What problems was the M3 supposed to have? Mine recently started chucking some false alarms at me. It's being reprogrammed as we speak!

I didn't know that you could get your ands on an 2010 model this early! Well that's a good thing for you.

Wow. Only one month?? Thats great.

By the way, I will get back to your PM regarding the specific issues of the GTR by the end of this week.

Yup alot of these 2010's have become a hype in dubai too. But with the kind of cash you have, i think toggle your thought to the GTR V-spec

Actually the wait period is in excess of 6 months for a factory order. Nissan makes a limited number per month and the demand for the "baby veryron" is through the roof! I luckily found some one who had booked the car and now wants to give up the slot. The car will be ready from factory by 3rd week of Sept and with me by this month end.

Alot of issues with the DCT actually. I faced none. And then the problem of after-market parts and how they are sometimes incompatible with the M3. I faced none of those issues. What issues did your ECU throw?

Please do bro. Nothing like getting first hand info from an owner.

I was thinking of the Spec V but it doesn't suit my need of the moment.

ABS failure, DSC failure, Flat Tyre Monitor Failure etc. Happened twice. I think something is loose, because it MAY have happened after going over a small bump. Not sure...Both times the false errors went away the next day while driving the car.

Maybe something to do with the bit of the wiring loom that goes to the wheel hubs?

Spec v is not worth the money KDS. You're paying double the price for the upgrades that won't cost more than 25K USD. I can pass you email ids of guys in Sydney who already got COBB tuning and they are really happy with it so far. Best is to join the forum and post it there to get feedbacks. I am planning to get it early next year. We got 2010 models delivered to Australia. I am still waiting for feedback from few owners before i buy one myself and so far i've heard just good things apart from poor leather quality, noisy gear box and inside heating up a bit which i get in my 350z as well

4Ransm your are spot on the remap options infact nearly all the GTR's in the country are running COBB or and Mines VXroms, I think they are getting a Haltech soon, also transmission upgrades on some have been performed I heard, all the cars have been worked on by one specialist organisation from India.

I believe the hyderebad GTR which won the Drag race is also maintained and tuned by the same group.

Congrats on the super choice once again, will look forward to the pics later this month.
White looks nice but i'd hope to see a different color in your garage since the M3 is white too, besides most GTRs in India are either white or silver and a few grey I believe. What other color options are available?
Btw, I thought launch control was a good option to have, why does the 2010 model omit it?
