Thats why i mentioned most of us know the car.

Mlcarrera i only want to see more cars in the club, hence the needy had to be done by speedy. This is more aimed to be like the Cannonball run (hope i got the name right) they have abroad. G.S. and H.S. are regular participants there.

Thats one thing i would like to see too . Then again most of the guys are friends and have hung around together so there would not be much of an ego till someone starts pushing their weight around, which i doubt... or maybe there are two who might.

The launch was to be in delhi, so i guess the delhi arm would be better equipt with pictures. The Bombay launch was held on the same day as the Vintage car rally. So those pictures are on the forum already.

i remember reading this article on ibnlive.com about the super car club of india. well i was hoping ot see a thread here soon -

Eat, drink and be merry, say India's millionaires

sounds really interesting, surely will attract people from all over the country.

i think the logic would be simple - paying a certain annual fee. the club will organize meets and give you invites for priviledge events. the logic is bound to attract a sizable number of people.

but really - where do they drive these cars. my heart would bleed if i did see a scratch on it or if i scrape the bottom or use poor quality fuel.

Someone I know is already working on a multipurpose track near Khapoli. I have seen the location and it is wonderful. there would be a tarmac track for super cars and drags, and an area for the changeable dirt track for 4 and 2 wheelers too. This place hopes to also start an advanced driving school with a british rally school, name held back for now. The area of the land is about 18 acres.
It took us 1 hour to get there from mumbai, and is close to the khapoli exit on the expressway. The promoters are still to finalise the sponsors and the funding so the delay, otherwise we could enjoy the monsoon dirt track atleast.

That picture of the Atom looks wicked ...even though the dusty conditions don't really suit it.

That's Great News!!

At last there would be a definite place where these sizzling beauties can be seen performing on their toes.
Without the pruposed track, the club would have been regarded as a gang and wouldn't have served the real motive.

Cheers
