Pics : A Lexus Hybrid Spotted In Bangalore!!!!

Well saw one whizz past me on Lavelle road the other day...was kinda confused at first then saw the exact same thing in this month's autocar and confirmed it...yes it was the lexus RX hybrid.
looked really hot and was teh pearl coloured version...liked its rear a lot
a 3.3 liter quad cam engine with 268bhp. it is the new VVTI engine...and comes with standard 18" alloys!!

So basically the gasoline engine powers always-on electric traction motors, like a diesel locomotive?

Iceman sir - you sure it was a hybrid or was it a plain vanilla "RX330". Am not sure if the hybrid is only available in the states - I could be wrong

could be mistaken...as the car looked exactly like the website pic...and did not find reference to the rx330...

also hybrid does not mean "electric" since its a 4 cylinder 268bhp engine!!!

Its a 3.3 liter V6. Its v hard to tell a hybrid from the regular RX330.
Hybrid is called RX400H. If its a RHD, its most likely a Harrier.

it must be similar but not the same, the link which u have posted is for a 2006 lexus hybird, so cant be the same

ok...sorry also seen 2 gs300 with MH registration in town lately one is black.....yes checked it is not the 2006....my mistake

Doesn't Hybrid mean fuel combustion engine alongwith an electric engine/motor???

no i did not see that. that is vanilla white teh one i saw was pearl shade and looked exactly like the one in the autocar issue

ooops..sorry....
i said hybrid for 2 reasons:
1. it looked exactly as the hybrid in yhe magazine
2. did not hear it!!!! only saw it.

i could be wrong...as ajmat sir said it could be the rx330...

Hey, I did see the same car but in a cream / Biege paint shade the last time I was in Bangalore. That transparent rear tail lights made me notice the car.

I too saw that car a week back near Forum Mall.....a lady was driving it.....hot lady infact!!
It was kinda peach and was a Toyota Harrier, she saw me looking at it and not her and sped off.LOL
