I meant that the prospective owner i.e S_malhotra's cousin , is thinking of buying this SL , as per what I know , and has not yet bought it , as manish also says that the pictures of the car posted on the previous page are from the Chennai owners place.

It indeed is . Its a white R8 . I think its going to be at his place within this month .

woww! That's a good choice. Again, this one also is white!! But I like it. R8 looks stunning in white. Is it a V8 or V10?
And what about the Gallardo plans?

It is going to be a V8 . Will get more info . This is all what i know at this point of time . Be patient guys !

Metallic White paint taking time . So the delivery will take more time now guys !
Its expected to be around 2nd week of may . :(

Is your brother getting the carbon fibre side panels?
Please ask him not to get those, the car looks much better without them IMO...

@Preetam: Those CRPF side panels look fabulous. And his brother's car is in white, It will look brilliant. But each to his own, I guess. With or without, the R8 looks awesome!

I would prefer the CRPF side panels. It goes well with the white colour. Just see the white R8 with carbon side panels which was there at the Delhi supercar show. Its simply awesome.

Those color-contrasting carbon fiber side blades are an integral part and one of the main highlights of the R8 design.Body-colored side blades make the car look a tad bland from the sides.

What on earth is 'CRPF' side panels ? I have heard CF which stands for Carbon Fibre. Only CRPF I've heard is the Central Reserve Police Force

Anyways, @smalhotra - Congrats on you brothers buy. I would recommend the V8 only because of some reasons.
- Genuine 'Audi R8' and not a Audi 'wannabe Lambo' R8.
- If your brother is getting a Gallardo, No point of having 2 cars with similar engines.
- V8 is far more hassle-free than V10's. Certain V10's are infamous trouble makers.

Actually I didn't know what those side panels are called. Shamik mentioned about it in his post as 'CRPF', so I thought that would be its name.

Totally agree with the first point, but again its not for no reason that it won the performance car of the year, Dont think his brother is getting the lambo and the V10 in the case of Audi R8 is a totally proven product and its one Superb engine.
One reason may be , it may be more efficient and better sounding than the v10.

Whatever the material, I think black sideblades suit the white R8 very well.

OT: I think its actually called CFRP, expanded as Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic, also called CF or Carbon Fibre.
