No the prices for parts is not regulated by MB India for any model. The dealers tell you they are ordering the parts from Germany but the fact is they would get the stuff from the local market and charge you extra. A normal owner of such high end cars is not going to go to the local market to check on the price or for parts. Firstly cause he has no time and secondly cause it saves him the headache to search for parts. MB dealerships do not even allow parts to be provided by a customer. This is where they earn from the customer, and the customer happily pays saying it is from the authentic dealership service center.

Speedy the mirrors are a overkill, but sadly you gotta em. And its nice to see you are completely changing all the brake(s) assembly. I'm quite sure the V12 would need good brakes to stop! But she is gonna be a crispy drive after all that is done. Cant wait for her to come out.

These are new ones and not second hand ones off another car. If i do choose the latter than it would cost Rs 15,000 a pair. The down side in this is if the motor of even one is not working or damged then i have to spend again to have it repaired or if totally gone get new side mirror houseings again. If i opt for non folding side mirrors then it costs me Rs 10,000.
In an automatic the first thing you check is brakes and in a V12 you dont drive if you are not sure of them . The car is coming back to its original specs of 408 horsepower and 540 nm of torque. The fastest S600 in the country. 1993 onwards to comply with the Europian and American emission norms the S600 was detuned to 389 Horsepower and 400 odd nm torque.

No, actually it isn't!

This is one of the world's luxury vehicles.

What's even more insane is that any of its parts are affordable!

Requesting info on best availability of 265 40 18 (101 Y) tires if anyone posting above can help, several of you seem to know quite a bit about the various tires, sizes, prices. If off topic kindly delete.

You could post your query in this section. The response would be better and the tire afficianados would be able to help.
