Will take pictures the next time i go that side. Never did really take pictures of the car as i have always been too busy admireing her . If you remember i did mention two cars i need to match in condition wise. This is one of them and the other is the 500SEL (silver) i have posted pictures off.

Do you altleast warm it up every now and then ,so that the battery does not drain . You have tremendous patience .

Got a new battery for her and it died. So had it charged and disconnected from the car now. Guess it would have to be recharged by the time she is ready for a walk. You learn patience when you are dealing with the older Ladies my friend . I rather take my time and do things right than hurry things and have to redo things my friend.

Recieved the air intake hoses and the brake hose pipes for the car, still no signs of the brake callipar kits. Man the part needed the most is taking the longest time to come.

I have a Friend who has a 500SEL too. Its Golden. Have you seen that one?

Also, Turel has a 560 SCL/SEL. But haven't seen it in a whlile

No i have not seen your friends golden 500SEL but would love to see it. Could you post pictures of it in the W140 500 and 600 thread.

Turel had two W126's and no W140. A 280 SEL and a 560 SEC. The 280 i think is sold and the SEC was last seen in a garage and was for sale too if i remember right.

Turel has a W123 300D, a W140-320, a R126 320 and 500 and a 500SEC which now has a 560SEC engine in it.

Thank you for the information Cyrus. I always saw the two cars in the garage. It was not a 500 SEC but a 560 SEC all along i had seen the same car before Freddie bought it, but at that time i was cash strapped. There were three 560 SEC's at that time that i knew off.

Anyways, coming back to your baby, got the wheels polished yet? I hope you can get a chrome finish on the wheels after they are buffed. Looks superb

Yes how could we forget that baby.

Nothing has been touched as i am afraid autohanger would waste more time if i ask them to have it done. Right now only the bumper has been painted since the cracks were platic wielded. When i get the car touched up in March i shall have the wheels painted silver again, am not too fond of the chrome wheels brother and as i am not changeing the colour of the car, it will not suit it.

Speedy actually, Freddy did have a W140 S320 which he picked up with the Vette and the Camaro. I think hes sold it a long time ago.
He also has a R129 SL 500, a 170V convertible, a W123 300D turbo diesel, American spec amongst other marques.

I heard the W140 was bought on behalf of someone and was in transit at his place. Thank you for the inputs bhai. Spoke to him a few months ago and he did not mention of the SL.
I always remembered the SEC as being a 560 for some reason.


Guys the brake calliper kits have finally arrived. So am looking as this week for the fitments and then the car is off for her exhaust work. I hope she is roadworthy by Valentines. She is going to be my date .
