its an amazing beauty.

i was damn lucky to see it in flesh right in front of my home in Pimple saudagar pune.

I dont know why it was brought here. it was parked in a hotel named Asterix and lots of guests were called to check the car. i think it was kind of demo. but i am still not able to understand why did they get such a beauty on bad roads of Pimple Saudagar , Pune.

till date this is the best car i have seen on indian roads. the mercs S and C class parked besides this beauty were looking too ordinary.

ran home, couldnt find the camera on time, somehow found it, used the zoom and took one snap and the camera went out of battery

It surely is looking a killer, the C pillar from the photo is giving it a strech limo look, awesome. But i didnt like those alloys on this beauty, IMO its bringing down the image of the car.

Looks like the XJ will do really well in India.Something for BMW and Mercedes to think about. We already have quite a few XJ-Ls in the major metros. 4 in Mumbai a couple I guess in Delhi and Bangalore.

Just for information Jaguar releases the Diesel XF by October or November and if i believe right the 3ltr diesel engine would cost Rs 49 Lakhs ex showroom Mumbai. On road she should come to Rs 53 odd Lakhs.

That really awesome pricing from jagaur. That 3l diesel churns out around 240 ps with 500 nm,smack in 5 series territory.Considering the fact that the current 5 looks so uninspiring the XF would be better buy.

Straw coloured XJ L

Saw a dark straw coloured XJ L at about 3 pm on Marine Drive on Pateti (19th Aug) at a traffic signal. Did not get time to snap with my camera phone as I was driving. It zoomed off pretty quickly.

My first (premature) impressions - seemed very large, did not seem to have presence.

Regards

What a day, i happened to see the new BMW 5 (a little late i know...but found it slightly disappointing, but to each his own) but of all the good things i must have done today i was rewarded by sighting my first XJ in the flesh...what a car!! totally blown over, that too it was in a dull grey colour, imagine it in white or black...Move over S class and 7 series

Caught one on the Worli seaface the other night. I was tailing it for about a 100 meters when I noticed the tail pipes were misaligned. The gap on top - between the bumper and exhaust tip - was uneven on either side. Sure, its a small thing....but when I'm paying a crore of rupees, I expect perfection. God is in the details.

the XF works only as a drivers car , the rear seat is cramped, the 5 - series is a better all rounder . Personally the XF feels best with its v8 , when it comes to diesels , germans do better.
