Moving to another superstar Mohanlal,spotted his S class day before yesterday at Trivandrum

Chiranjeevi got gifted a Rolls Royce Phantom today by his son, Ramcharan. All over the news! Mega family's been buying a lot of expensive cars this year...

I think its interesting two know with which car the superstar started his
car collection.I think his first car was an Ambassador or Premier Padmini , obviously with Regn No.369. I had seen him in a contessa classic, regd as KCF 369,some 18 years back.

Mammootty's first car was a used Fiat which he had driven only two times. Then he bought a couple of Ambys followed by some Hondas and Toyotas in late 80s and early 90s. He bought his first BMW in 1992. Then came many high end SUVs like TLC, X5, Range Rover, Q7 and finally the new TLC. Most of his cars were 'first of its kind in Kerala'.

Now I remember that he had a 1980s Peugeot 504, bearing regn number 504 which was there in a couple of films like Kanaamarayathu, sandhyakku virinja poove, teh hits of 80s....Not sure enough whether he owned the car...Any idea..?

If I am not mistaken his first 1992 BMW was bought from the BMW dealer in Sharjah. At that time I was just passing by & surprisingly saw an RHD 3 series BMW in the showroom. On more enquiries the guy told me that I cant reveal the name but its specially ordered for one of the superstars of Malayalam movies.

This thread should be read Demi gods and their stars. I am a south indian born and brought up in Mumbai so I know how stars are treated in both parts. In Mumbai, have seen many stars but the folks (sensible ones) behave generally. Infact in upmarket South Mumbai, it would be demeaning for self, to stare at them. Yes, there are exceptional cases like Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachan. The stars too dress up pretty casually except for special events. Ive met Salman for work. He was dressed in a typical banian and rag jeans, very down to earth. Not professional though.
The scene down south is quite different I believe, but its because of the struggle it takes and host of other factors. The stars too are very particular for their appearance. My grandmom preffered south indian movies to hindi ones, according to her they had a good storyline.
