Just a tip of the iceberg, my friend. The kind of projects he's been taking up just blows my mind every single time. Can't wait for it all to be finished.

A rare combination of money, taste and the willingness to put effort where the heart is. Amazing!

The first two parameters are in itself a rare combo in our country, but when you add the third, it moves that pedestal further away. After all, it would have been so easy to just buy new cars and change it every now and then. So, this is awesome! Finding these awesome machines in our market, bringing it home and then spending time and energy to make it complete. Kudos!!

Hopefully he will keep going for the sake of us over here.

Such a beautiful color. Love it. Love the buckle on the bonnet as well but why mesh grill around the headlight. Reminds me of our old Chetak which had a similar headlight and grille setup.

Also I am in love with the no clatter interiors of it. Just a simple dash and a gear stick on the floor rest is all clean.

Rest assured, the wheels will be black before delivery.
Is that particular car still going to Prithviraj? Seems like its been delivered to some effluent businessman in moovatupuzha? The wheels have definitely gone black as u said scorcher.

Nope, it's not illegal. Unlike our Tricolor, the Union Jack seems to end up everywhere. You'll even find it printed on doormats.
Guess the englishmen are pretty chill when it comes to their national flag!

I think it is not illegal. Remember seeing couple of cars with similar looking floor mats.

Yes, you're right. That particular car has indeed been delivered to the said person.

Prithviraj changed his order slot to a different car.

Another jewel to his crown. Love the way the car looks. Simple design, yet awesome.

His willingness to spend time, money and effort in restoration of old jewels is simply awesome. DQ, A true enthusiast when it comes to cars and motorcycles.

Re: South Indian Movie stars and their cars

The Mini is amazing!

I would have picked a different shade, floor mats and seat belts however. But then that is very subjective. Wouldn't change anything else though. Great work!

Really love that buckle, suits the car to a T.

And I have a feeling DQ is going to start a new trend here in KL. People were waiting for the next thing after speedex plates, stub antennas, tow hooks, samurai lip etc.

Seconded. The pastel yellow is the only part that I'm not completely sold on. As cliche as it sounds, I wish he'd stuck with the British Racing Green only, it just needed a respray.

Talking of trends, this guy is singlehandedly responsible for the astronomical figures RD350s are fetching these days in Kerala* and also, its about time RE showrooms started paying him a cut on each bike they sell!

*hovering in the 5-6lac ballpark but then last week I saw a bike which the owner passed an offer of 8lac for it!

Here is the Mini along with his pristine HDJ81 LC.

Is that really pastel yellow? Or Olde English white?? Can't really make out from the pics. If it's the latter, perfect! Great heritage colour for the Mini. Goes with its character and ' Proudly British' charm.

Wowza, DQ really has got taste. I don't think anyone else in any of the Indian movie industries has this sort of a collection, even if they had this kinda taste.

I think the '369' garage now deserves a thread of his own. Hoping one of these days the likes of Autocar do a proper auto enthusiast tête-à-tête with DQ! Or who knows any bhp'ian who has direct access either. Would be nice to hear his car related thoughts and tastes. Will prefer that over regular celebrities plugging sponsors to Hormazd Sorabje anyday.

Re: South Indian Movie stars and their cars

In a rather filmy turn of events, Prithviraj has finally went ahead taken delivery of his own Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2!
