The first two parameters are in itself a rare combo in our country, but when you add the third, it moves that pedestal further away. After all, it would have been so easy to just buy new cars and change it every now and then. So, this is awesome! Finding these awesome machines in our market, bringing it home and then spending time and energy to make it complete. Kudos!!

Such a beautiful color. Love it. Love the buckle on the bonnet as well but why mesh grill around the headlight. Reminds me of our old Chetak which had a similar headlight and grille setup.

Also I am in love with the no clatter interiors of it. Just a simple dash and a gear stick on the floor rest is all clean.

Nope, it's not illegal. Unlike our Tricolor, the Union Jack seems to end up everywhere. You'll even find it printed on doormats.

I would have picked a different shade, floor mats and seat belts however. But then that is very subjective. Wouldn't change anything else though. Great work!

Really love that buckle, suits the car to a T.

And I have a feeling DQ is going to start a new trend here in KL. People were waiting for the next thing after speedex plates, stub antennas, tow hooks, samurai lip etc.

Seconded. The pastel yellow is the only part that I'm not completely sold on. As cliche as it sounds, I wish he'd stuck with the British Racing Green only, it just needed a respray.

Talking of trends, this guy is singlehandedly responsible for the astronomical figures RD350s are fetching these days in Kerala* and also, its about time RE showrooms started paying him a cut on each bike they sell!

*hovering in the 5-6lac ballpark but then last week I saw a bike which the owner passed an offer of 8lac for it!

Is that really pastel yellow? Or Olde English white?? Can't really make out from the pics. If it's the latter, perfect! Great heritage colour for the Mini. Goes with its character and ' Proudly British' charm.

I think the '369' garage now deserves a thread of his own. Hoping one of these days the likes of Autocar do a proper auto enthusiast tête-à-tête with DQ! Or who knows any bhp'ian who has direct access either. Would be nice to hear his car related thoughts and tastes. Will prefer that over regular celebrities plugging sponsors to Hormazd Sorabje anyday.
