Replica GT 40
He's also rumored to own a Jaguar XKR convertible which has been allegedly imported illegally and is not even registered here. He hardly ever takes it out though. But have to mention that the source of the Jag info has been dodgy at times so I am not so sure about it.

If you noticed a couple of years ago, it was up for sale in ACI - Hari Singh was trying to sell it off. A brownish metallic one

No Ajmat, I didn't see that ad. Could have been but if what I hear is correct I doubt he would be trying to flog an illegal car via magazine ads. Or maybe it's legal after all ! I don't know for sure.

The GT40 replica was worth drooling over, the only way i could tell it from the original were the shoddy interiors and the shorter wheelbase, otherwise the rear view is almost perfect, down to the superduperwide tires (315 or 335?). The car has been repainted now i think it is red as what i was told havent seen it yet. Still awaiting to try out the Gallardo too.

Looks like they are really clamping down,

My neighbours BMW 740 has been sent back to the resort in Kerala
The dark metallic grey E60 in Bangalore now suddenly sports taxi plates

A popular producer has a taxi number plate along with the Marriot hotel logo on the front doors of his 3 series ...how sad is that!

youl never find any ferrari or maserati being a part of such scams. we take great care about all payments being only in white and that the buyer pays full duty etc... we nevr sell it to anyone who even hints to us that he wants to avoid the taxes specified by the law of the land to which the car is sent to.

Of course, that is if you sell the car here. The cars in question were imported privately. I dont think VAG/Lamborghini has anything to do with this.

the ferrari taxi int he south is was baght under a genuine hotel epcg lisence and hence it was seen to it that the car was used for the hotels courtesy.yes i agree with mpower that VAG/lamborghini doesnt have anything to do with it but in the case of ferraris its just that the company goes a step ahead to keep the cars true exclusivity buy keeping a tab on the cars use.
