Friends, i saw this following car on ring road, Delhi.
There was no sign of any company or name of the car anywhere. not even on the wheels and steering.
It had this no. UP TC something on the number plate.
the irony of this no is that i saw Cruze 1 month before its launch and Beat in November on road with similar no and with no sign of company name.

i tied to stop ask the driver but he drove so fast, i couldn't catch him up.
Just managed to take a few pics, have a look.

Moderators, I have not blanked the number plates because it was a temporary no. and it does not disclose the owner's identity.

Awesome catch there. The front end is wicked and the car has better GC too than the current-gen Civic. Nice pics. It would definitely look smashing in black.

I think this is a new version of Honda Accord currently available in Europe market.

That is the Accord Euro. Launced by Honda at the geneva motor show, way back in 2008. Lets hope it hits our shores atleast now.

Its appearance suggest a Honda,
which one is due? Honda has facelifted the Civic but isn't enough to lure more customers or is it Accord?
a diesel?

That is the European Accord aka Acura TSX that has been spotted several times on our forum. Honda has been testing this car in India since 2008. I'm wondering if Honda is still testing it or does the car belong to some Honda employee and he's driving just for the sake of it.

The overall design & proportions make it look like a beefed up & muscular iteration of the current Civic.
It definatley has the Civic's underpinnings & is surely built on the same platform.

What is possible is that like most manufacturers, Honda may just launch this at a slight premium over the existing Civic & sell the current Civic alongside at a lower than present price. Hence, adding to their portfolio & filling the gap between the Civic & the Accord which is quite vast.

many have seen it in the past. this is a test mule for the diesel engine. Honda is busy testing their diesel engine on this car assuming nobody'll recognize it. similar to what VW did when they used the seat ibiza to test the engines for the Polo.

+1 to that.
The test mule Seat Ibiza was spotted by me. It was red in color. (The one in bangalore). Might find the pic. I have to hunt for it. It was a year back.

I'd posted my spottings of the ibiza too but talking more about the ibiza spotting is gonna make this thread go way off topic.

MODS, please merge the thread with the existing one.

Acura coming to India. Very tempting.

Acura is indeed coming to India. This has been confirmed by a very reliable source. Also that Lexus is also planning to do the same.

A separate thread exists for the exact same topic. Link: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...da-accord.html
