Mercedes Benz C230, supercharger ideas

Any owners of the MB C230 thought of putting in a supercharger?
Believe the car when launched in the U.S in '07 came fitted with a kompressor.

Could be worth a thought, though I doubt any Merc owners want to mess with the engine. Merc's are complicated to start with, and bolting on an after-market supercharger in a country where skilled Tuners are a rarity is just asking for trouble. I've driven the C230 and found it to be pretty boring. The emphasis is on luxury rather than driver feel and involvement. Give me the 325i or the A4 3.2 any which day.

Within the C Class range, my pick is the C220 diesel.

That sums up my opinion about the c class as well. I drove the c220 diesel for the slalom run at lavasa a month ago and immediately after that i drove the c230 for a test drive and the car seemed lazy.

in order to put a supercharger onto a car which does not have one is a lot of work, involving new injectors, belts etc.

I think most prominent and safe Mercedes tuners like BRABUS, Kleeman etc have supercharger upgrades to already installed superchargers only.

For performance upgrades to your vehicle stick in a pair of exhausts, improve the breathing with some air filters ( BMC is proffered over any other) you might want to look at some progressive damping springs as well.

Cheers

Well i too own a C230, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! I know the comparison in torque is almost twice that of the diesel but the petrol still has something to it. I've got the exhaust upgraded to a Meisterschaft GT Quad tip racing exhaust with an X-pipe installed and resonator deleted(AMAZING). Filters changed to BMC F1 filters. Just got a SprintBooster installed which is basically a throttle signal booster. Rims getting upgraded from 17" to 18"(didn't want 19" for very obvious reasons). H&R sport springs to lower the car around 1.5". However, there aren't many people who would do a supercharger upgrade for you that i know about. Was in constant touch with Mr. Manik who is dealing with Brabus parts(RaceTech). I've asked him regarding an ECU upgrade too but he says the test car which they used didn't yield substantial results by virtue of the fuel quality here, so they're not offering any ECUs. I'm pretty sure he'll inform me in case he does have ANY performance upgrades for the C230.

You can also consider getting Kleemann headers if you want. That's most definitely my next upgrade to happen by the end of this year.
