Apparently Suresh Raina's Yellow Boxster is for sale now, for quite a few months, and the person is asking for a Price above the Market Rate because it was Suresh Raina's ex car :P

Re: Cricket Stars and their cars

last evening, spotted ST in his stunning 7.60 Steinway BMW, he is a regular at the club for a quick game of Badminton, seen him alternate between the 7 and X, however i have never seen him using the 6 series coupe.

The X you see is no normal X. Its an extremely rare X5M50d. And he doesnt have a 6er Coupe. His is a M6 GranCoupe, which he uses as his "Sunday car"

True I'm aware he has the X5M, infact the pics are posted on the earlier pages, about his 6 as well it's been spotted, but I haven't seen him drive her around, probably like you mentioned it's his Sunday car.

I'm unsure if he still owns the Red GTR as it was recently parked at a bandra motor garage (toyato tech) along with the owners classic impalas and his other beauties.

The X5M50d and the 7er duo (not too sure if there are really 2 of em as it's a highly debated topic) are used mostly and his 3er is used to lurk around without attracting attention.

M6GC can be seen at BKC quite regularly.
The Wald Kitted GTR Egoist , which he still owns remains the most elusive of the lot.

I thought he was very possessive about it and would not let anyone else drive it

That's an A4 parked next to it, looks like it is at the Audi service center. Could be there for a restoration job?

Would be a shame if he has gotten rid of it. Unlike Sachin, I think Ravi Shastri values momentos like these more.

Re: Cricket Stars and their cars

While I respect him for his achievements on the field, it appears that Tendulkar is quite the kanjoos when it comes to loosening his purse strings. We all remember the Ferrari controversy. And after looking at all his cars, I have just one question. Why do all of them have a MH 46 registration? The man lives in Bandra right? Is it just to save on octroi etc.?

Mods: Please delete if this is too .

what is wrong with getting a MH 46 number plate and saving octroi if you can? its legal. all my cars have always been MH06/46 registered. if you have a property in that area, you can get your car registered there.

What is wrong is that there are specific rules on where the car operates even if you have legit property. In this case the said cars are in Mumbai 100% of the time = in contravention of the law. Hope the misconception in the last statement ceases to continue remaining an example as we move towards better governance starting with ourselves. kanjoos! Thats really apt as it is the case.
