re: Insideman's Garage : Ferrari 430 Scuderia, '68 GT500KR, LR Disco, EX Supercharged M3

@ Jayabusa, the badges are CF, the roundel is black carbon fiber and white carbonfiber. i want the entire car black and greay, with the dash of white number plates, roundels in CF and a tint of blue to match the paint, so thats why i added the euro F sticker on the number plates and added ice halo lights.

BTW the wheels are already here!!!
wider tires will be here with this week. so happy with the look of these wheels!

Just saw the video , really awesome upgrades. Honestly I've never seen anyone do so much for their vehicles. Great Work Insideman .

And what lights are those exactly on your M3 ? Are those Xenons, it's kinda bluish in color.

Heyy buddy, good buy there.

My two cents,
I'd have loved to see the black GTS rims over the hypersilver ones. In your own words,

The rest of your car is all dark n stealthy. Then why this mismatch? Just like the darth vader wearing formals. eh?

Considering the fact that the same rims (hypersilver ones) go on the 1-M, I'd vote for the black ones any day for the proper GTS look. Your're complete with the spoiler already. Imagining your ride with the black GTS rims itself makes me drool, sigh!

See, tad late.

They are not the same as the 1M wheels, nor the exact GTS wheels, they are ZCP GT3 racing wheels, from the GT cars. I asked BMW Park Lane to find them and then ordered them here. Black in my opinion wouldn't look nice, this will throw up the ca much more. A little more flashy. Let's see once it's on the car. Plus, I can always get them ionized gloss black : )

Take a look at the wheels on ecks m3. Those are black. So I decided to get silver and let it throw out the car... The black ones are not so visible on the car...

see all my pics including this one, considering i already have graphite rims why black again? or dark? plus even during the day they look dull(and black wheels are so yesterday) take a look at my wheels that i have now... dark and get boring after a white.. plus the silver ones wheels when rolling look great.. black wheels when still look nice but not when rolling, maybe on a white car.. not this. see the pic i attached and see how dull even graphite ones look...

id even like goldish wheels. those would be nice...

@ stanjohn -

THANKS! ; )

the lights are ice blue halo lights from umnitza

Great choice of wheels, Insideman. I actually had my fingers crossed and was hoping you'd go in for these exact ones. They are similar to Ecks' BBS CH-Rs but his wheels are 20"!

As you said, powder-coating these wheels black would camouflage the brilliant spokes and the overall look. It would be better to keep them brushed-steel. These wheels remind me of the fantastic HRE P40s that are popular among BMW owners as well.

So what about the boot-spoiler? Does it stay or are you planning on getting a little lip spoiler instead?

re: Insideman's Garage : Ferrari 430 Scuderia, '68 GT500KR, LR Disco, EX Supercharged M3

Planning on ditching the rear spoiler and the roof spoiler. Gonna go with a full kit to keep the supercharger cool and add a bit more air so add a fraction of hp. Over all a nicer ride. Make the car look a bit GT styled so it will look a bit "ricer" or "too much tuner" but it's gonna make my car run better so in the end it's all good. I don't want a "for show" look body kit, I actually want it to make sense...

re: Insideman's Garage : Ferrari 430 Scuderia, '68 GT500KR, LR Disco, EX Supercharged M3

Hey guys!

I found a great picture of my wheels on the M3 e92 with a darker shade of gray, a charcoal gray. Along side are the wheels that I just bought in different colours.

Starting from 1 to 4.

1 being the first on the left and then 2 the second, 3 the third and 4 the fourth.

Please HELP ME SELECT and DECIDE!!!

If you(the majority) choose "1", I will keep my wheels as they are, as in the picture I attached of my own wheels. And depending on what your choice is I will powdercoat the wheels accordingly. (remember my car is a lighter shade than in the picture)

I think its gotta be the 2nd or 3rd shade, a little darker than what you have. But if you choose black then the lovely design of the wheels wont be seen as well.

I feel that the 3rd wheel will look best on your car. The color is perfect (not too light and not too dard) and will definitely stand out against the gray colored car.

re: Insideman's Garage : Ferrari 430 Scuderia, '68 GT500KR, LR Disco, EX Supercharged M3

This one is no brainier, Insideman.

The 3rd one would be the best IMO. It's considerably darker than the regular brushed-steel 1st one, but at the same time, it isn't so dark that the beautiful design of alloy is hidden. And my guess is that the 3rd one would go very well with the colour of your car!

1st: Good, but a little ordinary.

2nd: The shade is too similar to the colour of the car. It would not stand out.

4th: The black completely hides the design.

Wow the OEM BBS wheels looks hot. What is the weight of the wheels? and whats the offest of the wheels?
Lighter the wheels = Performance (Handling)

PJ
