3.2 litre inline 6 M powerplant, 6 speed gearbox, stiffened chasis and suspension (I've driven a 318!) M badging interior and exterior, dash, gearknob etc, 12" ventilated discs, 17" Mtosport rims, I have a feeling itis an M, but all doubts clear when I put my right foot down or when I'm straightening out a curve at an insane speed , feeling total safe and in control; maybe you're right about the mirrors (I'm no expert), maybe the UK spec 4 door came with the standard mirrors, maybe mine were switched somewhere along the way, but who cares, for me performance is more satisfying than badging and I'm totally in love with this car!! Thanks for your interest

Ajmat,

You're right. That seems to be an E36 BMW 318i with some modifications. I love the paint scheme and the extra bits; but this car deserves a set of BBS RS wheels. That would set it off brilliantly IMO.

Pic for reference:

Adil

Check the reg of the car on BTIS - Bangalore Transport Information System

It provides the chassis no, engine capacity etc

Take the chassis no and check thhe details on any BMW enthusiasts site which explains/ decodes the origin of the car.

You cannot hold out the truth on the web!

Here are pictures of the other supercharged M3 e92 ...

Picture 4 - of the white halos, has the intercooler removed and are being tested for brightness on ignition mode 2 to see the difference between having the engine running and ignition mode 2.

Picture 5 - BMW performance seats, they need the ECU to be reflashed so its not advisable unless you are remapping everything all over again. Until then you can move your car.

Picture 12 - the Akrapovic titanium evolution exhaust - de cat. for maximum power.

And the Mustang ...

I believe the Mustang had suffered some damage so has it been fixed yet?

I also did see the M3 being loaded onto the flatbed so if you dont mind sheding some light on to this? You can feel free to decline answering as my only thing was to know the reason as others might speculate and alot of stories would be created. Thank you.

The Mustang was repaired the same week it has the little incident. The bolt threading filed away and the wheel got stuck in the wheel arch and there was no damage really, only a 2 by 1 inch fold in the arch.. its been repaired and is fine.

The M3 was loaded onto the truck and was taken to the workshop for a stage 3 tune.

It now has straight pipes and a full de-cat evolution exhaust saving over 25 kg and alots alot more horses sans cats.

It will also run a smaller pulley, larger intercooler, the new stage 3 ECU flash and larger cold air intake with K'n'N filter. making the car run cooler and quicker.

It was loaded on the truck because:

You cant drive the car with the new ECU flashed to the stage 3 kit without fixing the smaller pulley, larger inter cooler and the exhaust WITH CATS. so it was loaded and taken away. + you save a lot of weight when you change the seats but its an issue as you have to reflash your entire ECU so we decided to map to stage 3 and upgrade. Only thing lacking is stage 3 suspension and the wheels off the new M3 GTS. (staying OEM with the wheels as PS2s are the best, and BMW can provide the wheels.

Here is the exhaust -

X pipe de-cat and straight pipe de-cat. Both pre-tested and Cats completely removed so there is absolutely no drone.

Oh yes, Also a matte black, rough texture plenum, that is perforated so it runs cooler and keeps the moisture out cause its quite hot here in bombay and its better to run this plenum rather than a gloss black finished plenum like the car was running before.

a car than runs cooler is a quicker car

Insideman glad to hear about the mustang being in good health.

I did see the car drive out of its resting place upto the flatbed, so no doubt of something being wrong. I thought as much either she is going in for an upgrade or maybe a service. There are many owners who do not like their cars being driven down to the far off service stations ans rather have it flatbedded off. The other thought that came in was she might be headed to Chennai for the event, but since it was i Sat i said it could not be the case unless she is headed to the airport.

So i see GTS is the object of desire and eventually she is getting there. Nice and i would love to see her ready and yeah she sounds good now so i can just imagine what she would sound like later. All the best and drive safe.

GTS isnt the objective. the car must handle like a gts and i like the gts wheels. not dubs(20 inch) and i want them to be mono cast wheels. And have a slight factory look but also slightly modified.
But yes, the handling of the car must be top draw...
