I thought the RR-S came only with the Supercahrged engine. This is just a face-lifted version of the previous Range Rover, right? Or are there any changed to the diesel engine as well.

RR-S looks like the present Range Rover which was developed by BMW. However, it is actually based on the Discovery platform and uses the new Ford Peugeot Diesel as seen on the Jags/ Discovery/ Peugout 407 diesels or or the Jaguar 4 litre v8 normally aspirated or turbo charged. Main emphasis is on on road driving. Current Range Rover uses a BMW dielsel 6 cyl and now has Jag petrol engines - previously use BMW v8s.

Did the Range Rover at the ACI Performance show have the same engine as the RR-S Supercharged? Cos that had a "Supercharged" badging at the rear.

I find the new Rangie Sport to be a bit of a disappointment. They sound great, but they're just too much Disco, and not enough Range. I prefer the new, facelifted Rangies, the supercharged breed.

The Range ROver at the ACI show was a 4.2 petrol V8 Supercharged engine.. no comparison with the DIesel V6!

GUys the RR Sports is radically diff from the Range Rover.. its height is lesser, shorter wheelbase and the vehicle is smaller in proportions.. the interior space is also lesser.. with the to of the line 4.4 Petrol V8 supercharged engine.. she should have some grunt!!!

Finally the best model of RR in my opinion is here. Not quite what I expected, was hoping the Supercharged V8 Petrol makes it to bombay, but I guess for now we have to feast our eyes on the lowest end model. The RR Sport seems like a better choice for mumbai roads coz of its size it's more drivable and looks really smart.

well i dont think the range rover here needs any of those 4.2 v8 horses..its just gonna be doing some regular tarmac work...hmm i have to say range rover is one of the best offroaders in the world. even the might clarkson has agreed too it too..

i saw the episode with the disco..and it did superbly...although it had to be towed out..
well the disco is bit too squarish...but whos complaining...the interiors and awe...!!
the rane rover has a really balanced look...combines best of the old and new age....

hey mav..what up with those x5s....both of them dl registered...huh!!!

Saw a dark grey RR sport in the airport today. Other than the SE badge, am not sure of the engine. A KA reg, I think it is the same person who had the Toureg V10 (that has disappeared)

Saw a green black Range Rover at a signal from Worli. I was in a cafeteria & it was drizzling, hence the poor quality of pic

this beaut was recently delivered to the bhosale family in pune...an autobiography spec, meaning fully customised to your liking...the interiors with suede inserts are one such exmaple...
