Some trivia : See the yellow dot on the tyre? Thats the lightest spot on the tyre, as marked by the tyre manufacturer.

Typically the yellow spot should be lined up with the valve stem (the heaviest spot on the wheel) to minimize the amount of wheel balancing weights required.

Strange that this hasn't been done. Infact, you can even see the wheel balancing weights stuck on the wheel diagonally across from the valve!

Wonder if these tyres were mounted in Italy or India....?

On second look, not only is the above true -- but theres also some more balancing weights right next to the yellow dot!

Its possible that the amount of weight used in both places could be reduced or perhaps even eliminated if the tyres were mounted with the yellow dot at the valve.

I think thats just randomness.

Where there is logic is that the brake caliper of the front wheel is towards the rear of the car, and the rear wheel's caliper is towards the front of the car -- this keeps the weight closer to the center of the car. (Similar logic to a "mid engined" vs "rear engined" car -- but on a more nano scale!)


You can't really tell in the pictures, but that front disc is ENORMOUS!!!! Gotta see it to believe it.
