If I go, I'm gonna be timing every supercar on the circuit.

What's the point in getting 500 rs for the event ? I assume that it would be the owners testing their uber machines on track just like another P&P. or are they any events planned ? Can the spectators get a close look at the cars ? will there be exibits ?

Are there any outstation cars expected ? Thanks for the clarifications

Apparently, you'll need the 2000 rupee pass for this which will include lunch from 'The Park'
For 500 bucks, you can see them from the grandstand.

I am so excited !!! I got invite.. for a Supercar Weekend Show which is going to be held at mahapalipuram near chennai.

I think total about 300 people are invited. Its held at Radisson Resort Temple Bay. The name of the show is PARX Super car Show 2010. Co-Sponsored by Aston Martin,Burfori,in association with Autocar India and event partner Aura.

Cars like Lamborghini,Aston Martin,Bentley etc.. are there on display and we can actually sit on those car and take pictures...Dream sometimes comes true..

Here is the invitation i got......

I do not exactly understand yet. Can I just walk into the show and see all the cars or do I need a spectator pass?

I don't think we can walk in..We need to have the invitation pass. If u know any race club members thro them u have chance to get it(like me) otherwise you have to be a supercar owner

i presume...other details i don't know.

Thanks jagxf for getting me the "All Access" pass. Even more excited I am to catch up with all the nuts(read bhpians) in a single go. I so can't wait!

I guess so. I saw two of those and its coupe version yesterday, along with a white Z4, a C63 AMG, a silver Cayman, a Carrera S, and a white KA registered 911 Turbo. All in a space of three hours.

You're right and i saw all of them at the track!. The Bufori was my fav car at this meet. I'll post more pics later as i have to resize the pics first!.

Supercar meet at MMSt Track, Chennai : Day out with Lambos, RollsRoyce Silver Ghosts, Ferraris, Porsches, Bentleys, and the like.. a few pics posted here. Highlight was the drag race for the supercars down the straight.. After first few drags, they grouped up as Ferrari vs Ferrari, BMW vs BMW, and so on. The Bufori was the highlight as an elegance car. Not to miss a vendoe exhibiting "mini-bikes"!! Awesome day out!

Mlcarrera's 911 scorched the straight in all the drags he raced in. I went ballistic seeing Gautam Singhania himself at the event. Should also mention Hormazd Sorabjee of Autocar India in the same breath, have been a fan of his articles ever since I started reading them on Auto India. The Italians didn't turn in their best performances in my opinion.

The icing in the cake was Balasingh's SL600 passing us on the way back and his RR Ghost blasting past our car...

An interesting list of supercars in Chennai but I guess aren't members of the SCC - 2 Jaguar XJRs, a Mitsubishi Evo X, the R8, a Ferrari F430, Bentley - CFS Speed, CGT Speed & Arange, Lamborghini - Murcielago & Gallardo, 3 RR Phantoms, an Arnage, 2 BMW M5s, the X6M and the Maseratis... i'm sure i haven't covered them all :-P
