Saw the insanely stunning Rapide S refueling at a petrol pump near the dealership.
Not too loud (for a V12) but as it zoomed past me the distinct purr reminds one of the beast that it is!

The gaping grille looks subdued with the number plate thankfully

Spotted the Aston Martin Rapide at Pedder Road, near Jaslok heading northwards.

PS: Apologies for the quality of the pic, this is the best i could manage as it was brought to my notice only after a friend spotted it.

A few days back I got this pic from a friend. It was parked near Wankhede and the security guard told him it's Sachin Tendulkar's. I rubbished him, saying Sachin doesn't own a Rapide.

And just now, I'm reading this - Sachin Tendulkar has been gifted an Aston Martin by the Ambanis. Not sure if there's a connection between the 2 stories, since I was told the car in the pic was the 1st customer Rapide S in India.

This is the same car that crashed at Peddar road last night!

Well I really hope it was not Sachin driving it! This would give all the baiters who are questioning the Bharat Ratna more fuel to add to the fire.

The car wasnt handed over to ST yet AFAIK. Its still registered with Reliance Ports.

ST's car is only booked with Aston Martin Mumbai AFAIK. There is no confirmation that it will be a Rapide.

And its being said that this particular car was being driven by Aakash Ambani. Hard to believe though

Is it possible for Sachin to drive around in an Aston Martin since he's the brand ambassador of BMW? There must be some condition in the contract stating that he shouldn't use cars from other manufacturers.

AFAIK BMW doesn't have any car that falls in the same category as the Rapide(or any AM that's delivered / will be delivered to him)
The same counts for his Egoist as well.
Under those conditions mostly he is able to own and drive these cars
But that's just a logical reasoning I put across.
