Yes I live here in HSR. And yes my little red car has multiple stickers. Basically, I am doing now at age 52 what I simply could not afford to do when in College or as a young working person. Living out some of my dreams, you might say. I take that little red car out as much as I can, weather and roads and time permitting. After all, of what use is owning a car if one simply locks it up and hides it. Anyway mine is an old car now. 11 years to be exact. But it is still a great deal of fun.

Ah yes, of course I remember. Thank you for your kind words. That car is my particular favourite. The R56 hardtop 1.6 litre turbo S avatar, to me, is the definitive modern classic Mini. I just wish I had a little more of the luxury of time in order to drive it more.

There was this Cars and Coffee meet today at Hebbal 6th Gear Car Showroom, and there were some lovely cars there in the showroom and amongst those who came to the meet.

(I got into it by pure chance.)

Posting just a few pics. Some supercars and some are just superb cars.

Rolls Royce Phantom
Chevy Camaro
Honda Accord heavily modded (tasteful and functional too)
Landrover New Defender 90 (my God that is gorgeous)
Mazda MX5 Miata (owned by a person I know and driven in by his brother - the car is in top shape)
Mini Cooper One
Lovely Dark Blue Mercedes W123 (240d) with an AMG badge and aftermarket alloys (I dont know why)

After that meet I went to Mercedes-Benz and saw the newly launched GLB and the EQS and the A Class AMG and that big Maybach in the flesh.

(I also took a pic of my little red Cooper staring at its own reflection in the Mercedes Benz Showroom’s Glass Door)

On the way out I saw a gorgeous Egg-Yolk-Yellow Porsche Cayman S. He pulled up alongside me on Residency Road. And what a sound!

Oh what a lovely morning spent amongst such beauties!

Most evenings when my wife and I step out for a walk my legs almost automatically take me to the lane where I am guessing I have seen you car parked along with a handful of other nicely stickered up cars.

Well you are living the dream Sir. These cars are meant to be driven and driven everyday. Doing so only serves the purpose. Its great to see you still enjoying the car after a decade. Many happy miles to you!

I believe this Cayman belongs to a well-known chef and entrepreneur in Bangalore.

Did you happen to get a glimpse of the interior? Is it all beige?

Seen it parked up on MG Road multiple times but didn't know it belonged to him! Guess being around the biggest Porsche collector in the country rubs off well Fun fact : That Speed Yellow Cayman belonged to BHPian Dante when new.

I saw the interior briefly.
Thought it would impolite to roll down the windows and peer short sightedly into someone else’s car!
But there was a youngish chap driving and young bloke in the passenger seat who reciprocated my thumbs up. I did not notice the manual. But the interiors seemed a combo of Biscuit Brown and Beige.

I loved this car. One day I aspire to own and drive a second-hand Porsche from a decent source - 986/987 Boxster or 911 Carrera or Cayman.

Plus this car I have had 4 years. Bought it second-hand from another neighbour when it was already 7.5 years old. He hadnt used it much - only 33733 kms.
Ive put on another 29000kms after buying it…
Yes I agree this is a dream and I am happy I was able to achieve it. Believe it or not I have wanted a bright Red mini since I was about 3-4 years old when I saw a Red Mini for the first time in Madras and Calcutta.

I can confirm that it does in fact belong to the chef. He is my neighbour and drives it every other to his restaurant on MG Road, where it is usually parked.
