Speedy, I hear it is a H2. And no, I was one of the first ones who heard about the engine a day after the debacle. So you get back in line . You and your brother have so many cars imports to look at. All I have is one Baleno, that too which is just about quick. I know you will understand . Bot bot. Just kidding speedy. I will let you ahead of me. Just don't forget your promise. A drive in your Porsche and maybe a chance to see a couple of your other vintages cars too when I am in Bombay. I will end this rant with yet another bot bot. Good luck with the engine.

yes it was and n aditya cleared the doubts. my brother and me dont have imports, they all have been bought from india itself. its not my porsche yet, it is an old 911 76 or a 78 model. it is missing alot of parts so if i could find an engine i would think of persueing the car.
sure thing when you come to bombay and i am there too you could see the vintages in the garage. you can see two of them in my profile. now i have to catch ishan to show it to me.

Speedy, with due respect, the porsche that you own is different frm the the which has ben allegedely dismantled (a 997). The design evolved till the late 80's when they came out with the 964 which was complex and designed for four wheel drive. It nearly ruined them and I understand mechanics run away when seeing them. The 993 was a return to simple proper engineering.

The 996 is a boxster with a rear engine attached. The 997 resolves that problem.

Externally it is easy to assume things are interchangable but underneath, it is a very different story

no ajmat i dont own the porsche, not as yet atleast. i have seen it and did not persue it further in terms of buying it even though my heart was set on it. the car is perfect body wise but in other aspects it is missing almost everything. it has its wheels, meters and steering column.
when mcleren mention ishan knows of an engine i said i would see it if it does fit then i would persue the purchase of the porsche.
i believe the 70's porsches shared alot of engine parts with the beetles.

Remember i was talking about a blue audi. To my surprise i saw a red audi instead of a blue one.

The car was going at a high speed.

Here is the link. Please dont get upset as it is just a glimpse of the beauty
