err..Sorry ShortShifter, but what makes you think it is a GTS "Automatic"? For me, that seems to be a normal GT (no blackened headlamps as in the S) with optional rims.

About the "Automatic" part, when did the GranTurismo come with a manual transmission to begin with? It always had the semi-automatic paddle-shifter transmission only. Ferrari, combined with its sister-concern Maserati ditched the MT-tech long back and they even pioneer the semi-auto transmission tech.

Scorcher, There is a 6 speed automatic transmission version of the 4.7ltr V8 GT S and it is called as the GranTurismo S Automatic. Except for the Engine, Gear Box and the Rims, the GT S Automatic shares the same exterior as the Normal GT including the Quad Exhausts and the normal GT Head Lamps etc...etc...

A few excerpts from the Maserati site describing the automatic transmission of the GT S Automatic: "There are four function modes: Auto Normal is for comfortable cruising, Auto Sport is for those who like a sportier ride, Auto ICE is for low grip conditions and then there is Manual mode. In manual, it is the driver who chooses when to change gear via the steering wheel paddles."

Now, speaking about the other GT S(The one with Blackened head lamps, dual exhausts and all), it comes with a Six Speed Robotized Sequential Gearbox (Maserati terms it Electro-actuated gearbox) which also can be used in two modes: Manual and Automatic.

Here are some pictures of it and the links to references;

Scorcher, Shotshifter is right.
Even i had no clue about the same. Was thinking that there is no difference in a GTS and GTS Automatic (exterior wise) except for the rims. But it is actually GT and GTS automatic which are similar except for rims.

Re: CannonBall Club

The CanonBall Calender launch video. Sweet stuff! Loved the white Lambos, AM's M3 and Rolls shots. The Fezza and Maser shots didn't turn-up quite well IMO.

Agree with you Scorcher.

Cannonball Club, I bow to you. Simply awesome.

I'd do hope you would keep the post processing PS work on the photos to a minimum.. Some of the photos towards the end of the video weren't really that awesome.

Thanks for what I think is the most real glimpse into the supercar scene in India.
