Nice pictures people, really liked all the exotic machines but the favorite was the Focus RS, love this power rallye spec hatch.

Re: PICS & Report : Mumbai Supercar Show, January 2011

Wow!! Thats for the great report...Thats a really lot of HP on the streets. And i'm so glad that the owners keep these beauties in such prime shape! not one of them shows signs of age.
But was it just me or are porches not considered exotic enough? Beemers & Mercs definitely wont grab any eyeballs in this parade but i felt even RRs out numbered Porches!
And for me, the stars were definitely the Skyline GTR and the Focus RS. I simply loved the Focus RS. Can we have a video of the RS please??

I must say I like insideman's attention to detail. BMW gives rubber covers for numberplate screws and he has wisely colored the blue one to match the French part of the plates.
Similar to what I do for my silver plates, got a silver marker pen and colored the white screw cover to match

Awesome pics guys !

The white lambo(Ex-AB) now belongs to Adar?

Re: PICS & Report : Mumbai Supercar Show, January 2011

This year we got to use 4 lanes of the sea-link which was a treat. One thing the organizers need to straighten out for sure is ensure that the security detail trail behind the group and not in the middle of it.

We had quite a few close calls with over-eager SPG wannabe's. Last year they were in Gypsy's and CRV's, so somewhere atleast they werent able to get in the thick of it. This year the bosses decided to have them follow in 911 Turbo's, CLK's, Bentley etc.

Given that these guys dont really know how to drive them hard, its bound to cause some trouble. Thankfully nothing serious happened but it definitely needs to be addressed for next year.

So I wasn't in town and missed this.
But thanks to all your pics, doesn't feel as bad as it should. Thanks everyone.
And while trying hard to stay content for now with my lovely-highway-scorching-but-if-not-careful-bottom-scraping Civic, these pics have inspired me to change my TB forum signature to...

+1 to that

I found the other road users to be quite rash this year while chasing the cars. Twice we saw two cars almost rear end the F430 and the Vette. Other than that we had a couple of guys trying to race against our Phantom, we actually had to ask them to slow down and let us go.

I think there should be a change in the programme next year. They should have the drive early morning at 7.30 or 8.00 and the have the display of cars. The traffic doesnt help at all

there should also be some rules about kids riding in the 2 seaters. There were a few cars in which kid(s) were sitting on the arm rest or in the back bench with no seatbelt. It would be fine if this was really an "exhibition drive", but we all know the cars were doing 200+ on the sealink. Dangerous.

All the cars were immaculately maintained. Forget about minor dents, scratches, swirls; there were no traces of dust/dirt anywhere. Makes me wonder, how do the owners maintain these cars so well, especially the paint job? Any tips?

On a related note, although the condition was mint, some of the cars were definitely old. e.g. a little bit of googleing showed that the Honda S2000 model was 2003 or earlier. Just out of curiosity, does anybody know which one was the oldest car in the line-up?

Once again, a BIG to the owners for maintaining these beautiful beasts so well.

There was an M5 (with M6 wheels) parked on Bandra Reclamation.
The same white M5 took part in the show last year along with a convertable M3.Both owners were present in the vehicle.

Mind-blowing experience! The Maserati was undoubtedly the loudest! Missed the LP640 though.Got waylaid and reached a bit late.Favorites were the 458,the 'Vette and the copper brown R8!

Saw the GTR blast down Marine Drive sometime after the event. The owner even gave it the beans when leaving the venue!
