Auto Expo Lamborghini Mystery

Any idea who bought the Lamborghini Gallarado to Auto Expo? Or is it owned by some Individual.. if so, who is he?.. When i went for the Expo on 13th Jan, it had a Punjab Registration(see the pic below).. but subsequently they removed the Punjab registration and put Autocar logo...

The car is owned by ******, the same Gallardo that was impounded by cutoms officials a couple of months back. Autocar also had his GT40 replica on their stall at the 2002 Auto Expo.

Read in ACI that Lambo is setting up shop in Mumbai and the First two Lambo's that have been booked and should be delivered by Jan End are the LIMITED EDITION Gallardo SE with it's 2 tone paint and interiors and all.
Looks like it is going to be a good year for us enthusiasts.

the Registration no it was carryin in the few couple of days at the expo was PB-09 xxxx
pb-09 number is of a place called hoshiarpur in punjab, which is a little town, with roads bad enuf for normal sedans. how come this car has a pb-09 registration then ? may be they put a fake Registration plate on the car..

yes they did replace the plate with the autocar one later on...

@Bunny: A car registered in India can be driven anywhere as long as inside the country!

Maybe thats the reaosn why the registration costs are less there. If you see most of the supercars in Mumbai they are HR regd. Obviously most of them are fakes.

As long as u can pull the strings, you can register the car anywhere in India even w/out an address proof.

Even if u have a hut on your name in that place you can register u r car thr to save money. And the car need not be taken to the place or state to be registered, it can well be in bombay and still be registered as GJ without taking the car physically to GJ.
