Just remembered a famous quote:

I agree wholeheartedly with you bblost. A bad driver causes more collateral damage than a bad rider. Though a bad driver will have a lot of metal and balloons protecting him while a bad rider might not even have the safety of a lid around his dumb head.

Somehow I have a gut feeling that the sort of junta picking up the 650R would be slightly more mature than the whackos being discussed above. At the end of the day a bike this powerful will earn her respect from you either way.

Oh and by when would the crash bobbins for this bike be out? As of now the PBK fellows have no clue about any accessories for the bike.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 650R : Test Ride & Review

It looks like a normal 200cc bike and lacks those killer looks of a real sports byke say for eg. Yamaha R1.

Sure this will not appeal to any of those individuals who care more about the 'killer looks' and like Sheel said would go for the 650 horses down under along with its great touring capabilities, might I add for 'two' which oh my gosh comes for half the price of them 'real sports bykes'

But if you care for a machine that makes good torque at the word go and not at the end of the power band + city agility, an everyday ride + a decent tourer that's cruising at 120kph all day... long this is as close you will get to a 650 than any other.

Killer

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 650R : Test Ride & Review

Saw the 650 in the flesh today at Bajaj Probiker. Those folks allowed me to sit on the bike. Asked for test ride, they said I will be called when it starts, took down my contact details. Its on-road price is 5 lakh in Pune and only colour (GREEN) is available. A black Ninja 250r was sitting right next to it. And with its fairing, and stuff, the 250 took the limelight away from the Big Ninja!!!

Guess you got lucky, Blore probiking guys dont even allow you to sit on the display bike prior to booking it. Looks like they have already 9 bikes as of sunday with 90 days being the delivery date.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 650R : Test Ride & Review

I hope I am allowed to share this video here, where a practical Motorcycle takes on a racy Motorcycle & actually trumps it, abroad (various conditions which favor racy M'cycles, sans speed limits)

Have a look

YouTube - ‪motorcyclenewsdotcom's Channel‬‏

On a race track, the tables would turn for sure.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 650R : Test Ride & Review

Here are a few videos I'd like to share -

I so want a black one. Somehow I cannot see myself on a green ninja. Although they have a cult following I still cant digest the color.

I am going to wait till they get a black one as spending 5 lacs on a bike is not very easy.

Is there any talk of 650 in Black?
