Sir any Idea about the dealership in Bombay or if the Bombay bookings would also be around the same time you have mentioned?.

Speedy - From my conversation, i learnt that Triumph are dealing individually with each dealer so did not ask who the other dealers are. But apparently the basic dealer network in the big cities has been finalized and the launch should be all together i gather. If i get any further info shall pass it on.

I was talking to a friend and fellow BHPIAN and he has a hunch that Shaman (dealers of Mercedes and other brands) have been appointed by Triumph as dealers for Bombay.

Believe that Bangalore dealer also has been finalized. Waiting for some more time before it can be made public. Believe November 3rd or 4th week might see some deliveries happening for the lucky few who have booked without even looking/feeling it physically.

Shubz,

I have been waiting since 2012 Auto Expo to buy a street triple. This news is indeed shocking. So people close to dealership will be getting bikes delivered first. Will email triumph to know more.

I believe it is either people close to dealership or people close to triumph officials could have booked already as triumph is not accepting bookings officially as far as i know.

I am a bit surprised here, booking not open, no mention of the dealers and deliveries to take place in the 3rd or 4th week.
I do not intend to touch or feel the bikes as I know them as products. So who do we contact as a mail to triumph only gets one a reply of "we will get back to you shortly".

Almost 2.5 years since the thread started and they are still planning and we are still waiting. Lets hope 2013 is the final year of launch.

This wait has been very painful. I have been waiting to see the Bonneville in flesh for so long. Being from the vintage scene, the first Bonne I saw was a 1960 Bonne in 2004, with a seized engine for sale. Asking price was 1.50 lakhs then, way beyond my budget. Having owned vintage bikes and experiencing the pain of riding them in traffic, it is advantageous to opt for a new bike. Secondly the prices quoted for vintage bikes makes the new bikes look cheap.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Bonneville will be launched with a reasonable price of around Rs. 7L OTR

Here are some nostalgia, vintage Triumph bikes (T100 & Speed Twins) at a show in Pune

Its been a real long and agonising wait..with no real time information of dates or dealers.

We have our fingers crossed too that the prices have only increased marginally.

One of the reasons i want the Bonneville is so that it can give company to my Triumph T100..old and the new standing together.
