Just got an email form Garware saying till Nov end the Hyosung GT650N is priced at 3.8 lakhs. Didnt find this news here, so thought will post. Good price...

I think the price was 4.39 lakhs or something. I did not bother as it looked Ugly for me 9the N version). i though the previous N model was much better looking. Also, its ex-showroom, so on-road should come to 4.3 which still very competitive considering Ninja 250 is at 3.25 on road...

That is a very good price for a 650 cc mill. Korean or not , its still a better buy than the 220/250 cc brigade. Did someone say 3.25 onroad for a 250 cc bike. Damn, thats expensive.

Ninja has always been expensive 250cc, but its a class apart any current 250 cc -though 650 at 3.8 is a boon in itself.

Hope this is true for many 650 fans out there.

I agree with you mate. The round headlamp looked way better than the me-too-FZ lamp it now carries. Infact IMO the round headlamp added a lot more muscle to the design.

Anyways, at 3.8L ex-showroom, the 650N is a steal. For 1.5 L more than the Ninja250 you get a bike that has more than twice the power. Use the money saved on an after-market exhaust, frame sliders and some good aesthetic accessories and Wallah! you have a looker !!

Spoke to the Garware Hyosung dealer in Blore yesterday. The regular price of the naked 650 is 5.3L on road Blore and the promo offer will be valid till today (30th nov) for 4.6L on road Blore.

One of my friends has put up his Comet GT250 for sale and is booking the 650N as i type this.

Took a test ride of GT650N - I liked the bike.
The handle bars are much more comfortably placed - compared to the 650R and I liked the looks - I hate fairing.

I took the test ride in the City, so it was in moderate traffic, slow speed ride - mostly in 1st and 2nd gear. So can't say about vibration beyond 6000RPM, etc that's reported by overdrive/autocarindia, etc. But within the first 2 gears, I liked the power.

The turning radius should have been better - I could not take u turns in the small cross-lanes of Prabhat road - had to make 3 point turns and with all the weight of the bike, wished it had a reverse gear :-) Created some scene in front of all the college crowd. Actually, I was given a white one and it turned quite a few heads and I was really (pleasantly) surprized at all the attention I was getting until the horrible moment came where I had to take the u turn - eventually by getting down and pulling the bike back...he he he.

The suspension was decent - not very hard but not very soft either.
I also asked the sales guy to give me a pillion ride - it was not that comfortable, but much better than on the 650R...

My heart is still on the ST-7...though somehow the ST-7 engine felt crude compared to the 650...

Anyways, my conscience does not allow me to spend so many lacks on a (practically useless) bike. But as they say, conscience does not prevent sin, it only prevents you from enjoying it, so who knows...
