How a SBK handles

The video demonstrates it. I have no words to explain to those guys who try to simulate this on various bikes we get here.

Re: How a SBK handles

I am . Is this amazing handling the forte of the CBR or do all superbikes have the capacity to handle like this?!!!!

And are those tires on the CBR laced with fevicol .?

Re: How a SBK handles

Well CBR600RR is one of the best handling bikes.
But in this case it is definately the rider.

Maintaining such lean angles at low speeds is completely riders talent.
I am sure the bike helps, but it is more about the rider I guess in this case.

But awesome control on the bike I have to say..

Re: How a SBK handles

This is mind boggling control.
I must also add the rider has to be pretty physically fit to do such maneuvers on a SBK.
The was he was flicking it, you can see that he has some good upper body strength.

I am not a biker and have never ridden a super bike, but what ever little experience i have had on normal bikes says that one needs to be really fit to do such things.

Unreal indeed. The only modifications it seems is the replacement of the clip-ons with a conventional handle bar along with that large rear sprocket.

Re: How a SBK handles

Its a 600cc super sport. Those bikes are meant to take lean angles so extreme . Thats why people who buy them love the twisties. But the bloke has talent no doubt.

Re: How a SBK handles

This is truly amazing, i knew Hondas are best handlers but reading that and viewing that on the video is very different. Now i know why they say that. A very good rider indeed as at no point he kept his foot down, although at many places i felt it would not be possible to do this without putting the foot down.

Any idea if the Busa handles the same or is better/worse then the Honda shown here.

Re: How a SBK handles

@mayank - Mate are you sure you want to compare handling characteristics of a 600cc super sport to a near 600 pound open class sports tourer ?

Re: How a SBK handles

It's all about throttle control. If you can get this right along with balancing the body with the bike perfectly (become one with the bike ) then its not very difficult to do this.

I'll post a similar video later on today. No access from work so please be patient

Re: How a SBK handles

I am not sure why no one has noticed that the standard CLIP-ON handlebars have been replaced with wider ones. This enhances flickable control of the bike.
All the stunt bikes never have the standard clip-on handlebars.
Although, the rider has amazing control over the bike nevertheless.

It improves the shenanigans to a large extent, but the biggest contribution is from the rider I believe.

And how I wish I could ride like that

Yeah though handle-bar etc help, I am sure it is mostly rider quality!

Re: How a SBK handles

Simply amazing, this guy seems to be handling the CBR as if its a much lighter motorcycle. Would it be safe to presume that the 600 is far more agile than a 1 liter? Would it be possible to chuck a liter bike in this manner?

From what I have heard, NO. Litre bikes are heavier and bigger than the 600s. Hence I pressume it will be much much harder to do stuff like this on them unless you are very talented. 600s are more agile than the litre class bikes.
